Which of the two best fighters of their generation is better?
I'd say Floyd is the better fighter (As in, more skilled), while Pacquiao is the greater fighter (Accomplishments and resume).
Let's see ..
Pac
8 division champion
5 Division lineal champion
3x foty
fotd
from FLyweight champion upto jr middleweight champion
Floyd
5 division champion
4 division lineal champion
2x foty
fotd nominee :lol1:
from lightweight champion upto jr middleweight champion..
see they're not even close at all.pac is so much superior...
You forgot 7 losses 3 by KO all in prime years .
Floyd beats him anytime from 130 to 154 just like he did shut down to nothing! Thats what happened for real and Manny could never beat Floyd or for that matter he couldnt beat the guys Floyds beat, Floyd beats every guy on Mannys resume from 130 - 154 , and Manny cannot under the same conditions.
Floyd is the best fighter of this era and by quite a margin, the ship has sailed history will sing that song for ever.
How can a guy thats lost 7 times and been Koed 3 times be better at anything, Im not talking a shot Roy Jones here, Im saying prime years 7 losses.
You donkeys cant even add up, 7 losses and Floyd beat him in cruise mode.
Only fan tunnel vision has Manny a better fighter, Floyd would beat him at any stage from 130 to 154 just as he did when they fought he shut Manny down to a whimper, 7 losses 3 by Ko, go away you idiots.

Pac is much better than floyd in everything, floyd will never fight without any advantage in and out of the ring...

The standard for both fighter is veey different.
Pacquiao standard.
Pac ko his opponent.. that's what the boxing fans were expecting.
pac dominate his opponent and win every round..
haters will say "oh he's having a hard time"..
pac won very clear but didn't win every round.. -haters "he lose the fight" (bradley, horn.. etc)
pac have a very close fight -haters "he was dominated"
FLOYD STADARD
Floyd won every round- oh my god floyd is super amazing he is ****ing unbelievable.
floyd won by close points - floyd dominates, battered, schooled his opponent.
floyd clearly lose (castillo, maidana) - floyd won very clearly.. :lol1:
That's the standard between the 2 boxers...
Great post. Anytime they say Floyd beat Manny so that makes him greater, I point to Duran/Hearns. Tommy KO’d Duran, yet Duran is remembered and held in much higher regard in the P4P ATG lists by sportswriters and fans alike.
Floyd beat everyone including Manny thats what makes him the better fighter, Manny been Koed twice with a bunch of defeats to guys Floyd would school .
Floyd beats Manny at any weight from 130-154, just a better boxer across the board, as fighters its not even close Floyd beats Mannys resume with ease while Manny couldnt beat all on Floyd resume.
I laugh at Manny fanboys, the guy got beat by Floyd and has been Koed more than once, but is better lol, thats some twisted delusion, but they that gullible they swallow all Mannys excuses.
It's not as parallel as you think. FLoyd-Zab-Baldomir were WWs. Raheem was a LW, Morales was a SFW, Manny was a FW that just recently moved to SFW and still trying to establish in there. You can't expect him to just jump to LW immediately for that.
Let me guess, you didn't know that one
Lol. Come on Bro. Is this your argument. So the same Pacquaio that jumped from 135-147 to face Oscar couldn't go from Sfw to face Raheem. Stop it. Like I said it I don't think it was a duck. I'm commenting on how the media covers Manny and Floyd
Berbick beat Ali.
Jack Johnson beat Jim Jeffries.
Herrera beat Olivares.
Joey Maxim beat Ray Robinson.
Brkley beat Hearns.
Hearns beat Duran.
Ezzard Charles beat Joe Louis.
Primo Carnera "beat" Tommy Loughran
Muhammad Ali "beat" Ken Norton
I agree, Floyd won. But it was hardly a respectable performance. ANd considering how their styles match-up, along with Floyd's natural size advantage and superior physical condition, the fact that their fight was so close (not the right word, I'm sure) doesn't say much about Floyd.
Turn the tables, have Floyd rising to 140 to meet Pacquiao when he's at his prime and do you expect the same performance? Floyd would still ahve a lot of the same advantages - on paper, at least. Do you really expect the same out-come? Do you even expect Floyd to take the fight?
Yeah, neither do I.

PAC is greater by a large margin.
PAC in all his fights, came to Fight.
PAC beat their common opponents in more dominant fashion.
PAC makes floyd fight like a beitch... Floyd hugs PAC numerous times.. floydfans calls it a defense and PAC did it with 1 healthy arm! :boxing:
Half of the boxing world thought PAC won the fight, its a giftwin from floyd's hometown venue.
Lol. I said I'm not going to say he ducked Raheem. But I did draw the parallel to Floyd - Zab and Baldomir.

That literally does not matter. He won he was the better fight. Plus...you dont have hindsight
Boxing is not just a sport. It’s also a business. Just ask Floyd. Pac-Raheem didn’t make any business sense. The fans were
clamoring for Pac-Morales 2.
Manny fought elite level fighters at their best. Can't say the same for Floyd. The discussion should end right there, but we can also toss in how Manny was often/typically the smaller man in the ring. He pursued tougher challenges and even after being in tough fights still sought rematches with the fighters who fought him the hardest. He strived for KO victories instead of playing it safe (and dirty) fro 12 rounds by running, clinching and getting gift decisions.
pac beat floyd. watch the fight. he landed the better punches. isn't that boxing? i didnt know boxing was throwing out a grazing jab and receiving hard shots in return. if so i'm tbe
Sounds like you need to watch the fight, Floyd landed the better cleaner punches.
Most people dont know chit about boxing. Youre one of them.
People expected more from Floyd in ‘06 coz he was undefeated & the best P4P in the business. They were shocked when the Judah fight got made.
Dude, Raheem’s win over Morales was a fluke. He never beat another big name in his career, did he?

You know you aren't helping Manny's case by saying "the fans didnt want to see Manny-Raheem"

Floyd was the better fighter
In terms of greater career, you can make a case for both
I truly believe Floyd would have beaten him 10 times out of 10 at any point, and I probably consider myself more of a Manny fan
he didnt even win the one fight they did have and yes both guys were past it at that point, but did you see who was landing the head rocking shots? floyd kinda went into run out the clock mode in that fight. really wasn't getting any leverage starting in about round 3. he was just moving around throwing a grazing jab, off balance open handed hooks(not legal), and besides a very rare right hand with nothing on it didnt really land much. pac meanwhile was landing hard shots to the head and body and hard shots with not only the left but the right as floyd tried to spin off.
its a shame a lot of people dont actually watch the fight and what happened. they just believe compubox. floyd landed 11 power punches in round 3...no he landed zero clean power punches in round 3. pac landed like 6. all 3 judges gave hte round to floyd so you can see what happened there. being wrong happened
but even though pac should have won if you score on clean punches taht doesnt mean he would win 10 out of 10. i certainly wouldnt say that and even if you didnt score on clean punching and had floyd winning 7-5 or something generous i dont see how you can say he would win 10 out of 10. even factoring in politics which are always going to be in his favor that is a pretty outrageous claim. this wasn't floyd-gatti
