And Canelo hadn't accomplished what Mayweather did before Mayweather hit his 30's, let alone having 9+ more years on the elite level.
I didnt know there was a time limit, we have to wait until Canelo retires and then see what they did over their career,, its not over until they both retired.
Yea, I meant 3 simultaneously. He’s certainly done more than what I thought he would back when he was getting touched up by the likes of Alfonso Gomez. He’s improved immensely.
Oh yeah for sure, he is definitely a complete fighter.
He’s champ in 4 divisions with the bs 68 one, but yeah I get you

Off Course Canelo can surpass Floyd, its a two way street, the more Canelo does the better Floyds win over him looks, to a point, then it moves into better than Floyd realm and this diminishes Floyds win over him.
Wonder where that stands in history. I doubt many if any gave some that
Well Armstrong held 3 titles at 1 time when there was only 1 title per division...
Other than when he faced Mayweather I've always rooted for Canelo, I'd like to say yes he does but I don't see it, Mayweather had too many performances where he looked every bit the best fighter of his era.
Yea he was literally
147-WBC/WBO/WBA/RING LINEAL
154-WBC/WBA/RING/LINEAL
All at the same time

Not on money for sure. I think Canelo has 3 years max, his body is going to breakdown, his knee already is giving him issues. He'll probably be done by 32, not enough time to surpass Mayweather. He won't be a beast at 168 unless he ignores true 168 lbers and makes 160lbers go up in weight.
it does, but hallow accomplishments like being champ in 3 divisions, when one of the titles isn't real, isn't what elevates him above mayweather. we know what's meaningful and what isn't. he really isn't far off tho. when the serious conversation starts about who's done more, the mayweather fanboys who say canelo's achievements serve to bolster Floyd's legacy, will turn on canelo.

That goes for any boxer, don’t you think? Name a boxer that you can’t scrutinize wether he still fights or is retired... but that’s not the point, the point is that canelo is Doing things no one else is going for boxing and is making history and is still under 30. He is a living legend and the greatest boxer out of Mexico ever..

Well if you want to cite his accolades, you must also be prepared to scrutinize them. Canelo has the chance to add good wins at smw tho.

I don’t make the rules

Could anyone here say Alvarez has surpassed MAB, JMM, JCC, EM and Salvador Sanchez among others?
Crazy... A roid infected one surpassing these greats. These guys who relied on just multi vitamins and hard protein.
you can make that same arguement for Canelo. GGG,Kovalev, Cotto,Mosley, Floyd....were all over 35 years old when Canelo decided he wanted to fight them and those are the biggest names on his resume period. Canelo and his team intentionally waited Golovkin out. Like cmon now, your calling the kettle black.
I agree with you. Canelo is like Floyd in that he is a very highly skilled cherry picker. At least Canelo's fights are more entertaining than Money May's were. I'm not here to defend Canelo!
