Why do people act like anyone saying Fury should have lost against Wallin is on the basis that Wallin schooled him? It's quite simple and obviously some of these people are new to the sport, that cut was awful. Do we really need to supply examples of cuts that have cost fighters like Vitali to lose? There are plenty more example of far lesser cuts that have saw a fighter lose the fight from it.
I think Fury fangirls won't really live this one down because it wasn't a headbutt that sliced him up. Hell, even Eddie Hearn is saying Fury should have lost, does that automatically mean he meant it was from Wallin schooling him... duhhh obviously not.
The whole basis of Fury being allowed to fight like that bloody mess that he was is because they never wanted to lose the huge rematch with Wilder. Now we gotta listen to Fury fans saying crazy ish about Wallin acting as if he is the second coming of Ingemar Johansson, "Greatest southpaw in the heavyweight division" lol.

Though Wally clearly lost on points, he did cut the guy and the only reason the fight wasn't stopped was politics. Same reason Fury essentially got away with PED use. This sport makes exceptions for stars.
If Walin were the one cut, the fight would have been ended without question.
You usually talk sense but when it comes to British fighters, you talk a lot of rubbish.
I agree with you on the drug episode. I think Fury timed his breakdown and "retirement" very well. People don't realise or forgot he was banned for being a drug cheat.
However there is no need to shine a bad light on the fight continuing. It is not like he was given added time to recover. He was deemed okay to continue and vindicated that decision with his performance.
Are we really at a point where we are acting as though a winning performance is tainted because the referee didn't decide he was not fit to continue?
Davison was gonna stop the fight? Furys cornerman? Do you mean referee tony weeks? Do you mean the ringside DR?
The corner man or possibly Weeks.
Probably up on points & they could have prevented the gash from getting worse.
What I didn't like was how the commentator told Davison that the cut was caused by a punch and not a headbutt like the corner thought.
Davison was going to stop that fight.

I totally agree with this.
On the flip side Fury was able to overcome that severe cut and was able to win. I don't doubt Fury's heart or determination.
I hope we don't come to this where every time a fighter has a cut people want it stopped. Fact is, after the cut Fury barely got hit in the eye again. Vitali was getting hit there often, even though it was a slugfest he was edging, Vitali was in massive danger of having far worse injuries, whereas Fury looked safe from much further damage at all times after the cut and he won 9/10 Rounds.
If Wallin was cut, I would not have wanted it stopped either. If a fighter wants to fight through a cut, as long as he isn't taking shot after shot on it, he should be able to, and as I said, Fury took few shots on the eye. It just opened up bad after one punch, and the second was a headbutt, but given that he still dominated suggests that he was fine fighting through it. This is the fight game. If you don't want to see blood, don't watch. Watch the Hannah Montana show or something instead.
Have you ever been cut in fight I AM QUITE CERTAIN NO :damnit:

Vitali Klitschko actually won the WBC HW title from Corrie Sanders, who whooped Wladimir WAY before Tyson Fury.
The Gypsy-Bum is no Vitali Klitschko, as it stance Vitali is the WBC 'Emeritus' Champion, Gypsy-Bum is the WBC 'Mayan' champion.
Your example sucks, step your game up! #levels.
Fury won the WBC HW title off Deontay Wilder, and PBC shamelessly robbed him of it.
Fury is the true WBC champion, as well as being lineal.
Deontay Wilder is a bum, Fury will retire him.

Exactly! That's something I really don't like, yes we know Fury is tough but why does he get preferential treatment? Obviously we know why, the Wilder rematch is huge $$$ to be made.

Wallin won 3 rounds and Tyson whopped his azz with one eye.
It shows is that Fury has the heart of a lion and can adapt to difficult situations and find a way to win. His stock has gone up, not down.
Fighters get cut, it happens. It'll heal and Fury will be absolutely fine, just like Vitali was after Lewis.
