Tyson Fury's rematch with Deontay Wilder is not in jeopardy despite the Gypsy King suffering two horror cuts against Otto Wallin. The British heavyweight star came through a thriller at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to keep alive his return clash with WBC champion Wilder. Fury, 31, was cut twice in the third by a left hand from the southpaw Swede and went to hospital immediately after he was announced a unanimous points winner. Click Here To Read More]
Fury's face looked worse, so based on the argument used by some here he mustve lost....right?
I've literally read posters here claim its clear that a fighter lost, because their face looked worse. Theyve used said logic for some high profile fights too.
Wilder would have ko ed him in 5 with the way he was moving.
Fury would have planted his feet, dug deep, and went toe to toe until one of them dropped to the canvas.
As Terence Crawford stated that cut was so bad that the fight should have been stopped.
I hope that decision to keep fighting doesn’t show itself to be major issue in Tyson’s career.
Yes, his was significantly worse than Fury's.
V Klitschko had severe and free flowing cuts inside his mouth and on his tongue also.
It seems that notable fact is being overlooked.
Not only that, but he had way more than 2 cuts total.
Vitali's cuts were horrendous. A couple more of Lennox's right hand bombs and he could have legitimately been blinded. That one on his eyelid was horrendous. No way that should have continued.
Fury's was very bad, but it was positioned ok. Wallin should have had a point or two taken for blatant taking with the glove.
Yes Vitali had the same deep cuts in the same spots against Lewis and the fight as you know was stopped.. . Furys face and cuts looked almost identical to Vitali's
Like Roy Jones' by Calzaghe, but he didn't get stopped... and there was Badou Jack's really nasty gash vs Browne, went the distance. Neither were the belt holders in the fights.
Vitali's looked worse to me, like there was bone poking out in the middle or something. He also had the massive gash on his cheek as well.

Vitalis seemed as bad. But fury only had wallin to keep off him for another 9 rounds. Vital had lennox to dodge. A different kettle of fish.
It was ok to let fury continue
The cut definitely looked pretty bad, but it wasn't obscuring his vision too much. Fury was lucky it extended as far as it did though, if it was 2/3 as long the blood probably would have been dripping directly into his eye and the fight would have been stopped.

Lmao. EVERYONE knows the only reason that fight wasnt stopped. $$$$$. If that cut is on Wallin the fight is 100% halted in the 3rd or 4th round.
And since Fury was the A-side, they allowed more vaseline on him then I've ever seen. Definitely more than would be allowed on a less marketable fighter. I'm just glad they didn't DQ Wallin for pawing at it. I really expected them to screw him right there.
In any case, Fury's not as mobile as he once was. He's going to cut again.

Nothing but real shit here.
Fury's cut man is basically admitting that if Wallin had been cut like that - then the fight would have been stopped. For the doctor not to stop a fighter with the "Worst cut he's ever seen".... hmmmm
Is this guy related to Marg's old trainer?
It's his son, and he learned a lot from his dad. He's going to be wrapping Tyson's fists for the Wilder rematch.
:lol1:
