If Wilder does the impossible and Pacquiaos Fury, where do you rank him all time? Is he ATG status?
I think we can all agree that with Fury being the boxer and Wilder being the brawler, the chances statistically of Wilder KOing him are low, so if he pulls it off, where does it propel him?
Usyk? That's like a man versus a child.
Joshua? Nothing more than a piñata with legs.
The Feb. 22 winner is the main man, the head honcho, the king.
Nailed it.
And that man is....Fury.

- -Puts him #1 on U noodle list.
Took him 40 fights to fight a real opponent in Ortiz. Look over Ortiz’resume, who did he ever beat? He was deliberately hyped up by PBC and SHO to make him seem more legit than he is. Then Wilder fights to a draw against an out of shape, inactive Fury who is also a hype job. There are no ATGs in this generation to beat one another. At least AJ has a more substantial resume in half as many fights.
Good points. Ortiz and Fury are legit opposition but the rest of his resume is full of dish washers, shoe shiners, and part time shovel salesmen.
Never? That's harsh lol.

Nope. He’s only fought Ortiz and Fury.
And against both you could argue he lost (ref against Ortiz, judges for fury)
He needs to fight several of:
Joshua
Whyte
Usyk
Parker
Povetkin
Etc
He would still have to get by Miller, Usyk, Povetkin, and Briggs.
Yes and No
It would be up to them, to beat him. Not for him to beat them.
He's already got a strap. He'll have beaten the lineal champ as well (Fury). If he lined up AJ after, then he'd be unifying the division.
It wouldn't be on him to fight them. He'll have made himself the undisputed heavy champ.
Wilder and Fury are allergic to combinations. Joshua wont have any resistance when he gets on the inside vs these two like a fast handed Ruiz. Joshua beats both of them. Wilder is aging himself out just for money. He'll get his generational money by 36 or so and AJ will flatten. Another surprise HW will beat Joshua, not these 2
It depends on how he gets the win.
Imagine if he just walks right through Fury and destroys him early.
Like a prime George Foreman. You'd have to rate him as one of the greatest ever.
Wilder will become the best boxer of a bad generation of boxing.
I really don't see AJ even beating Wilder after his out boxing of Ruiz. So, if Fury gets sparked out, then Wilder is the top of this generation for sure.

It would compare to the first half of an ATG’s resume. He needs 5 or 6 more fights of this magnitude in order to be in the discussion.
If we're lucky we may see Wilder fight Fury 3 times & AJ 3 times.
Whoever comes out on top amongst the big 3 can look forward to fighting the likes of Usyk, Ruiz, Parker, Whyte, with Hunter, Hrgovic & Dubois waiting in the wings. If he can fight most of that field and still be lineal champion at retirement, considering each other their achievements up to this point - ATG no doubt about it.
Come the end of this era I think we'll see all 3 of Fury, Wilder and AJ be HOF inductees, if the BIG fights get made then those fights could potentially be talked about by the masses in 30+ years - how could they not be HOF?
But only one can be crowned an ATG I think. Wilder has ATG power, we all know that.
If he avenges his defeat to Fury with a KO then that would rubber stamp his HOF credentials as it would give him a notable win. But wouldn't crown him an ATG.
The ONLY way for an ATG to be crowned in this era is for him to become undisputed by winning all the belts. Winner of Fury/Wilder is lineal champ, no doubt in my mind it's a 1 v 2 fight (but Fury is still man that beat the man imo). But AJ has most of the trinkets so that fight must happen! If Wilder beats both Fury and AJ then yeah he's up there, especially if he truly cleaned the division out by beating Ruiz Jr, Usyk, Parker, Whyte.
I like this answer. It's basically what I was going to say. Fury =HOF, Fury+AJ= ATG.
Fury is already talking about fighting Brock Lesnar April 5th in WWE lol. Doesn't seem to be in the right frame of mind.
Fury wants everyone to think he isn't focused. It's part of his plan.
