:lol1: Del Boy is the best, I'd watch him fight a scarecrow
Lol can't believe it took this many posts for someone to point that out
If he accepted an offer thinking he was going to be on the undercard, then found out he was actually top of the bill, he would have something to complain about .. but not the other way round.
He accused Hearn, or Kallie or whoever, of using his name to sell a fight between 2 little guys. But how can he say that when it's Taylor and Prograis on the posters?
Del Boy has lost the plot!
"If I'm not the main event, give me more money"
Isn't it supposed to work the other way round?
He must have been happy with the money he was offered, or he wouldn't have accepted the fight. Then when he shows up for the first presser, sees the big banner poster for Taylor vs Prograis, and realises they are headlining the event ... he thinks that means he should get more money?
Even by Chisora's standards, that's a weird stance to take.

Yes, and Dillian Whyte is a PPV headliner ... so what does that tell you?
It won't make one jot of difference to Chisora's career if he beats Parker in a headline fight or on an undercard.
It'll make a lot of difference in the training camp though. Going into a grueling camp knowing you're headlining a show is much more motivating than being an undercard fighter - especially for a veteran like Chisora. Beating Parker, to Chisora at least, isn't even as big a motivator as knowing he's headlining the show. That's why he wants financial compensation to replenish that motivation he's lost.
And Dillian Whyte's connection to the UK's most popular boxer, AJ, from amateur through to pro, had nothing to do with his ability to headline a PPV. There's no in-built marketing there you'd say? In fact, Whyte headlined the O2 with Parker himself only a year ago which is probably another reason Chisora was pissed off.
Everyone, including Chisora himself, knows that beating Parker is no guarantee but he'd believed he was guaranteed to be headlining the event up to this point. He probably found out that he wasn't headlining today, hence the raw reaction of losing the accolade of headlining. You may not understand the meaning of headlining an event which is forgivable if you've never boxed before. I've explained it but it might understandably go over your head.
Now if Chisora beats Parker, it'll raise him only marginally in the rankings but it won't guarantee him anything. Chisora's already in the top 10 WBC heavyweights but Dillian Whyte was WBC mandatory for nearly 2 years so sometimes rankings can be virtually meaningless...

I have boxed, but I've never headlined a PPV event.
Have you?
Lol .. you're as crazy as Del Boy!
If he beats Parker, it will be the best win of his career. It will move him up the rankings and put him in line for more big fights, big paydays and possible world title opportunities.
Nobody but him will give a **** whether the fight was a main event or not. That will be forgotten immediately and it certainly won't take anything away from his legacy.

Look at it another way from a boxers perspective - headlining an event is like a payment, a reward and provides even extra motivation in camp. It's an accolade and an achievement which gets added to their legacy for all time. With that accolade and extra incentive taken away, Chisora feels he deserves financial compensation. Now Taylor and Prograis have that accolade instead and Chisora wants to get paid for having to give up the accolade of headlining.

yeah he's a psycho and dangerous, but he's right :lol1:
WTF are they doing on an undercard. HW get f#cking paid, people watch them. he's actually right!
Listen to what he said: "Am I the main event? If I'm not, give me more money"
So going by his own words, if he was the main event, he wouldn't be complaining about his money. That's nuts. Pure ego, nothing to do with finances and business.

Let’s be fair, Chisora v Parker is a bigger fight in the UK than Taylor v Prograis

Giving him too much credit. That's what you do when you have 9 losses. He doesn't have much of a choice but to be ready to fight everybody.
He has many losses, but he fought tough competition.
And Chisora told them to go there and see how many tickets they sell.
They'd sell out Glasgow just like Taylor did for his last fight , Prograis wont fight him in Glasgow and somebody needs to go to London and show these English bums how to fight properly .
I just love Chisora. He is ready to fight anybody. We need more that kind of guys in boxing. War Chisora.
