The G Man is one of my all-time faves...at 160 I would probably pick him over anyone...he could box, had power, athletic and a good chin...I think all that hard sparring they used to do at Kronk hurt him but sh.it happens I guess.
GGG would be close because GGG tends to start everything out behind the jab when he needs to...would be interesting to see what developed after that...I think Canelo is a good matchup for Gerald and Gerald would outbox him and be fairly convincing...Charlo/SD and Jacobs all get outboxed and a couple of them stopped...Andrade it depends on what chin he has and how hard to hit he really is...he has never been in with someone like McClellan so it is hard to say.
But yeah thanks for bringing him up...one of my all-time faves
Golovkin and Canelo would be though fights. I think he beats the rest. Can’t really use his wins over Jackson as a true litmus test, Jackson had a glass jaw.
The same McClellan that went through Julian the Hawk Jackson goes through everybody in the past decade at 160.
He was a special fighter. It was a shame what happened to him but at 160 he was Roy Jones unbeatable.
To beat him you would have to have a chin of granite. That leaves out everyone but Golovkin and Canelo. I'd say Golovkin has a better chin than Canelo. I'd pick Golovkin as the guy most likely to beat McClellan.
Would be a MASSACRE.
Destroys em all and becomes undisputed.
I don't know about that. Gerald was a big MW, but he wasn't unbeatable. Not saying he wasn't a beast. He was, for sure, he had his moment, but he never proved to be any kind of ATG either.
I think prime GGG v prime McClellan is a barnburner and a pick 'em. Canelo would be up against the size and strength, but I have a hard time picking against his skills and ring IQ, so that's a pick 'em for me too. Gerald beats the rest though.
