I was never sure how I felt about this. Floyd had some good 1-liners and insults. Pretty much all his jokes are insults. I felt like he was pretty clever back in the day. He's also given us a lot of pure cringe that was made to look even worse by the fake laughs from his entourage. This is mostly in his later years.
How do you rate Floyd in terms of his jokes?
(And, yea, I know he's a boxer, not a comedian. Get the stick out of your ass.)
Sometimes funny, not always. I remember I was in stitches when he had a press conference with De la Hoya, and he was taking the piss out of Oscar's attempts to talk tough .I can't be bothered finding it, but it's worth watching if you haven't seen it.
He was also taking the piss out of Ortiz which was quite funny, about how corny he was, when he was saying 'I wasn't there that night', as an excuse for when Maidana made him quit.
Just the way that he actually beat Ortiz showed a good sense of humuor! Ortiz being ruthlessly punished for being so stupid.
I remember he was taking the piss out how emotional Hatton got at the weigh in too, which was quite amusing.
Yea, those were some of his better moments. I tried finding some of them and posting them here because I know there used to be clips on YT but I can't find them anymore.

I honestly can't remember him being very funny. Got any specific examples my friend?
I don't find most boxers funny except for maybe Tyson Fury or Usyk. James Toney could be funny sometimes, too. Clubber Lang was hilarious but of course, not real unfortunately.
This is one of the things I mentioned earlier. Quality is beyond trash but if you can tolerate 2min of distortion, it's pretty damn interesting. One of the few times Floyd came across really clever w/o insulting someone in the process;
I don't know if it is intentional or not.
Reporter: Floyd, what do you think of the metoo movement?
Floyd: What's that? Like I got a billion dollars, me too, I've got 2 billion. I've go a jet, me too, I've got 2.
Here
Men's Health: We're asking a lot of men, in light of the #MeToo movement, how men can grow in 2018.
Mayweather: The who?
MH: The #MeToo Movement. Women speaking out about sexual assault.
FM: When you say "me too" ... When somebody is like, "I got a Rolls Royce, I be like 'me too.'" When somebody say they got a private jet, I say, "Me too. I got two. Me too."
MH: This is a very different –
FM: Well, I didn't know! My Me Too movement from the beginning was whenever somebody said what they have I'm like, "Me too." Somebody say they got a billion dollars, I say, "I made a billion dollars, me too."
His last funny moments were the Shane Mosley 24/7. Straight cringe after that. That hot tub time machine line from him was probably the last time I laughed at his jokes
He's mostly cringe.
Cringe worthy indeed. Why doesn't he just go away, or at least shut that attention whoring mouth of his up? Floyd, most people don't care about you anymore-- So says this guy (me) who used to be a big fan of his.
He was funny as hell when he was younger. As he got older, he became more cringe

I voted no, however I forgot about Prime 'Pretty-Boy' Floyd. He killed it when he called that one radio station jockey claiming Floyd was ducking Manny Pacquiao.
I voted "sometimes funny"
Same. I feel like it only takes a few bad jokes to overshadow your good ones, and he's got a lot of overshadowing going on. But, I think back on moments like him talking to the HBO crew during an actual fight, or his comment about Victor Ortiz crying about not having a dad, and I can't deny, the guy has had his moments.
