This is the all too common trend among casuals. A fighter comes on the scene who has the look, lingo, arrogance, and strut that resonates with them. It was the same with Floyd and Broner--many of their fans were supporting them more for their personas, image, and what they represent rather than the substance of the fighter. They cannot see beyond their inherent bias, because this is how they choose their favorite fighters to begin with--by demographics and behavior that mirrors their own, rather than the skills, heart and ability of a fighter.
These are the same mopes that would have given up on Leonard, Hearns, and Duran after their first loss. Would have called them hype jobs, say they got exposed, etc.
Sadly, this is true. They give up on their fighters once they lose which suggests that weren't really fans. They are more into the dislike of other fighters usually race related and they stay loyal to that. A fighter they like loses and they 'didn't like them anyway' and just move on to the next guy. We've been seeing this. Funny thing is, if Russell was still unbeaten and never fought Loma he'd be getting tons of props but because he lost to Loma they (who had him as Boxing's "best prospect") want to see him lose and fail because they think it reflects well on Loma.
Think about how many fans Rigo had on here? How many swore how great he was and how he can dominate bigger men because his skill was so high?
Two years ago I was convinced Loma was in another class. Now I've seen him for what he is. Loma has seen probably realized his own limitations. That's maybe why the coward is talking about moving down in weight. He doesn't have heart like Pac, Mikey, or Floyd, He had a couple tougher than expected fights and now he's shook.
I think Davis beats him. I think Lopez can beat him. A relentless pressure fighter that can put Loma on the retreat, or a sharp, powerful counter puncher. Those are that types of fighters that will beat Loma. **** was different when Loma could bully fighters at 130, but now his competition ain't backing down after eating a few combos and that's got him scared.
So Loma knowing that he would be limited at 140 is a coward for remaining where he belongs? He fought and won titles in three weight classes in just 14 fights. How many weight classes has Spence fought in? Is he a coward for not moving to 154 and 160? Was Roy Jones a coward because he went back down to LHW after winning a HW title from Ruiz?
Campbell was to unify.
A fight with Frampton in Ireland is a mega fight overseas. Since boxing is on decline stateside, it makes perfect sense financially.
Also Frampton is a top 5 lightweight. Any fight with a top 5 fighter is a good fight, even if they ain’t all time greats.
And stop insisting tank is up there, he’s get ruined by Loma.

Man Ghost of Dempsey going in Hard! However i see alot of truth in what yu said.
Davis is a mismatch. I blocked that moron. He’s going to be ruined when Lopez loses to Commey or if he wins then Loma and he’ll leave the site when Loma makes Tank quit. I’m even more certain of how easy that fight is then I was for Loma-Walters and Rigo. I also nailed both those predictions calling them basically exactly as they went.
Davis is a total hype job and fraud. I think he’s the most overrated fighter since Jeff Lacy had everyone believing he was a god and would kill Calzaghe. The sad thing is, I think Lacy was more proven and better. Also FAR MORE willing to prove himself than Tank has shown to date.

Agree with all this. These young guys need to earn their chances and get better at their trade. Stevenson, Tank, Haney, Garcia, Teofimo all these kids need to keep developing.
I look forward to the points bet if/when they ever get in the ring together. Easiest points ever.

Tank is a boxer puncher and when he gets you its definite you hit the canvas. Lomanchenko is an ok fighter, nothing special. Tank would comatose him. He just happens to be a small boy where there is little opposition because it's hard to get good quality midgets. All this nonsense about him being a GOAT are just rubbish.
I don't proclaim Loma as a GOAT, but his accomplishments thus far are quite impressive. Tank has not impressed me. He is a good fighter, has some good power and movement, but he's nothing special. He won't have an answer for Loma's speed, angles, and combinations that will come at him from all angles. It's not going to be pretty, and Tank and Floyd know this, which is why they are trying to avoid him at all costs while he is still in his prime.
Davis would wipe the canvas with this hypejob. Someone who doesnt want to fight you, doesn't move up to you. Lots of his fanboys are scared for him. They know what they are seeing in Davis. Seems like they don't want the fight.
Fighting can after can at the end of your career, and struggling with D-lister British level bums, doesn't prepare him for the amount of body punches he's in for. That body punch from featherfisted Campbell had him almost shitting his pants and tried to fake a low blow, but thankfully ref didn't go for it. Davis has a much better technique and punches 20 times harder than that last can.
The hypejob better be prepared.
Bellew:lol1::lol1: Another British D bum.
Davis KO or ref stoppage under 8.
Lopez would beat the crap out of that midget sneaker thief Davis :lol1:
Well, he’s white and Eastern European and “all of his fans” are perceived to be white and sadly the way boxing “fans” are these days that’s more important than consistent standards, what fighters prove, their merits, abilities etc;
I mean the dudes answered some of these LDBC type “fans” with fights like Rigo, Walters etc; they picked against him then STILL made 2000 excuses and move the goal posts.
It’s deeper to them than boxing and nothing will ever let them concede an inch. Even when he schools Davis, Haney, Lopez etc;
I know mate, it’s pathetic, a lot of people picked Walters, Rigo, Linares etc and then still won’t give Loma props for winning those fights comprehensively and proving them wrong.
If you’re an objective boxing fan, I think it’s basically impossible to criticise Loma for his career thus far.
Well theres plenty of people in the same division who never fight so.... we can only hope it does happen. After Loma fights for the IBF which would probably be in the spring, a fall fight on PPV with Davis would be fantastic. That's one fight I'd gladly pay the $80 for.
One of the only two PPVs I'd pay for if it were priced reasonably at about 50 bucks. I want the fight before Lomachenko is too old excuse starts.
Then we should help it along, instead of creating fake narratives. I've been fighting for this fight since 2017, and I have no doubt it's happening next year (2020).
Feels like Lomachenko fans don't want it. As I said, Davis moved right in next to Lomachenko. You don't do that if you are ducking or afraid. Let's encourage it and ask the promoters to make it.

Fight is gonna happen soon. That's why Davis came to 135. We've been having these conversations since 2017. Keep the same energy.
I'll give you 3-1 odds. Let me know about how many points you've left after you deduct all your other bets.
Davis will beat the shit out of Lomachenko. By the time it happens (next year), Davis will be favored. Keep watching.
