Pacquiao Requesting $20 Million to Fight Crawford

According to the Association of the Rumor Mill, Pacquiao is down to fight Crawford for a cool $20 million-plus a portion of the pay per view buys. Which will be a pretty big payday for the Filipino super boxing star. In his fight against Thurman back in July, he got $10 million-plus pay per view buys percentage. What can we learn about Pacquiao in this move? Is he really interested in this fight or does he believe it would be that much better of a fan draw to garner the extra dough?
Bob Arum of Top Rank Boxing Promotions had both Bud Crawford and Manny Pacquiao under his banner at one point. The fight never materialized between the two highly touted welterweights. Back in January, Arum sighted his reasoning for killing the fight was because of the all-knowing crystal ball that made him feel Pacquiao would get the L. “I knew how it would end… Forget my emotions, I wouldn’t want to see him take that kind of damage…” speaking of Manny (Omaha World-Herald, 2019). Mind you this was after Pacman left his promotional banner and signed with PBC Boxing Promotions. So all we can do is wait and see if these two can make it happen, because if this is true; I’m sure Crawford is chewing at the bit to be in the ring with Pacquiao so he can have a solid prizefighter and legend on his record whether he wins or loses.
when he was still with TR dummy! this match up has been brought up before, this aint the first time this is being mention. :smashfrea
U wrote “wants” as in the present tense and not “wanted” I assumed u were referring to the current situation and not the past one. U can’t write “I don’t know why Arum won’t pay PAC what he wants” and expect it to be clear that ur referring to the past while ur writing as if it’s the present. This post was started about the current demand after all. So sorry about the confusion. I’m aware of this fight being talked about before. But u can call me a dummy and hit me with a hammer, at least I’m taking the time to explain myself. But why don’t u try and answer ur own question then? paying Manny 25 million to fight an Algeri isn’t so bad when Algeri comes cheap. If Manny wants 25mill to fight Bud u know Bud is going to negotiate against that. The purses might come up much higher than the rate of the expected buys. Sum times two pieces come together to be greater than the sum of its parts others times not so much. Not looking for fights. Sorry if I came down on you. Here for civil debate I’d thats even possible anymore.
Well, NO SHlT, dipshlt. You probably thought you had some CIA level info with that bit of well known fact :lol1:
Usually, MORON, a person asks for a CW IF that guy doesn't plan on sticking around. Pac had every intention of making ww HIS NEW HOME.
And when Cotto moved up, Pac REFUSED to follow him. He demanded Cotto come back down to WW :lol1: !!!!
Strange that he fought Margarito above WW though, yes or do you have more CIA level info on that shltshow :lol1:
WTF, the cyber ink I just used in replying to you has more active brain cells than you do. You may now go back to worshipping the elf.
Holy mother of fu ck :lol1:
Who says you don’t ask for a catchweight unless you don’t plan to stick around? Canelo has made a career of moving in increments. Pacquiao was initially moving to welterweight for the Mayweather fight(from his own mouth). A lot of guys test the waters, either with a catch or vs a bum. Pacquiao chose a catch vs Cotto to save time. He fought Clottey, Mosley and Margarito at 147 and over, do you know what that means or are you really stupid enough to think that Cotto was such a killer that they just had to drain him to stand a chance? Cotto was coming off very close fight with Clottey btw, and Pacquiao did not relinquish his 140lb title until Margarito. So he fought Cotto while holding that 140lb title, and he fought Clottey while holding that 140lb title. Hmm... what does it mean?
I’m sure he would’ve had more fights over 147 if he didn’t immediately regret the Margarito fight. Let me say that if +3lb’s is too much for you, then you’re probably already pushing it.
Also your spastic ass spammed so many “lol” smilies that I can’t even post my own funny gif. A nice defense mechanism, still a maroon doe.
Every time you make a post without putting names and faces to Pac's accomplishments and guys who koed Ali, the lamer you and Pac become (if it's even possible).
I'm sure u are familiar with boxrec there u can find all the names that u want to know and please give me a name that can match pac achievements because when i try to look at boxrec I couldn't find a single boxer from the past to present that can even come close to pac, maybe u know someone.. :lol1:
Whatever. I keeping throwing up facts after facts. But you just keep throwing shade after shade
So your hate for Pac is.......unyielding ?!?!?!?
Lol. U shouldn't talk facts with that guy.

Cotto wasn’t a jr mw , he didn’t move down. He was a welter weight at that time. Right before pacquaio fight he fought clottey for The Wbo. Pac fought 147 then down t9 140 then asked for cw of 145 lb with cotto. At that time cotto was coming in at 146 so it wasn’t a big deal at that time.. but you make it out to be for ur own agenda .. it wasn’t like asking 135 lber to jump up two weight class to fight him and then breaking the catch weight clause like Floyd did.. hey I beg the differ
You dream about people, ME specifically, never asking you to put names and faces to Pac's overly glorified accomplishments.
Can you at least name the ''several' guys who you said koed Ali ?!?!?!
:lol1: Putz
hahahaha
keep dreaming bud..
but pac Achievements isn't a dream but your favorite boxers can only achieved it only in dreams.... :lol1:
So would that be $20M guaranteed plus a share of the PPV, or $20M base and a cut if it does over a certain number of buys.
TBH if I was Bud and was confident (as I'm sure he would be), I'd be demanding this fight got made even if it meant Bud only made $10M or whatever, lets face it $10M is still more than what he would make otherwise excluding maybe Spence, if he wins he gets Pac's name on his resume, another belt, a heap of exposure and position for negotiating the Spence fight.
If its $20M guaranteed with PPV upside it honestly doesn't sound that unreasonable.
Also its not like Pac would be hurting for money, the guys made hundreds of millions as this point.
Yes, I hate how Pac gets credit for his swerving skills.
You love it.
Even Keith had an angle....1 fight in 2 years ???
Yeah, I know....Pac is older than dirt
And I thought you're giving Pac a credit for finally stepping up and took on a top welterweight. Now that he took that fight and didn't lose, a sudden change of tune in here?
Yeah, he's old and he should have lost to Keith Thurman. And I was one of those who predicted Thurman to win.
Pac is a shrewd guy when it comes to who his opponents are :lol1:
Again, Pac wanted to fight Cotto at ww after Cotto had already been a jrmw :lol1:
Your love for Pac is.......unyielding ?!?!?!?
Whatever. I keeping throwing up facts after facts. But you just keep throwing shade after shade

We DO know Pac wouldn't have fought Cotto unless Cotto signed that paper.
That was his 1st fight at that weight (excluding DelaHoya fight). He fought rest at the WW limit. Clottey and Margarito were alot bigger than Cotto
Arum isn't confident that his future cash cow(crawford) can beat an old senator from the Philippines and past his prime pac that's why he didn't make the fight happen....
Bingo, the Thurman fight must have gave Arum some pause at the potential derailment of his potential cash cow.
That ONE TIME doesn't take away from all the OTHER TIMES.
That wouldn't have happened had Cotto refused the clause. If Cotto was able to fight Pac like all Pac's other WW's, the outcome would have been drastically different and not in Pac's favor.
Hate to break it to you but Cotto was not a southpaw
We'll never know that. For all we know, they fought at a stipulated weight and we know the outcome for that. And weight aside, Cotto got confused on how to approach Pacquiao. He tried many sorts of ways like trading, in-fighting, switching, and boxing. None of them worked except for boxing which kinda worked a little bit but was too late already. Cotto switching got himself confused instead of his opponent.
I got Crawford and Spence beating Pacquiao at this point but they better know how to appraoch Pacquiao cause getting confused would be one the worse things that may happen to them against a guy like him.

As pacquiao fan, i hope the fight doesn’t happen regardless of the money. The thurman fight is a perfect win to ride off the sunset. Pac is already 41, albeit still good has had too many wars, and undoubtedly past his best.. he took a lot of punches to the head against thurman, how much more can he take? We’ll never know.
As fans we shouldn’t be selfish to just want what we want to see.. pac has nothing to prove anymore and has a achieved everything in boxing..
It has proven throughout in history over and over again that those who he didn’t know when to stop past their due dates all got ugly endings.. all faced the ugly truth.. all got defeated by father time..
Would you want that for manny?
Leonard was one of the greatest yet he suffered the same fate... Ali suffered worse... even hopkins got thrown out of the ring.. roy jones kept getting KOed.
“They all said they still can fight and still feel young” until told by fate otherwise..
I don’t want that for manny.. any concern fan, should rally for his retirement, he is set for life.. and had the best memories in boxing I can hope for.
He will always be the people’s champ.
If a guy SWITCHES to a stance, that IS NOT their main stance. They're just showing the crowd they can switch it up if they want to.
Pac will get tenderized if he fights Spence or Bud.
Really? I never realized switching stance was just a show off to impress the crowd.
I guess Cotto suffered badly against Pacquiao cause he was trying to impress the crowd with his switching of stance.
Nah, too high for a Crawford bout. It’ll probably do about 400-500K. Same as the Thurman and Broner bouts. PAC brings in all the PPV sales on his own.
None of the WW’s have done anything remotely close to Pac’s PPV records. Even at 40 he still outperforms the young guys. Ya gotta earn that payday bud!
How did Rios Algieri Broner Matthysse Horn Vargas earn that pay day ? Crawford stops all of them !

We are all free to dream... :lol1:

It will go higher because Pac became bigger again after two wins in the US.
With a win or loss... Pac can possibly expose extra weaknesses and flaws for when craw/spence ends up fighting. Still both checks are worth it for these young champs..
