In his prime I think he beats them all including Mayweather and Pac. Many don't know it but he was weight drained for Oscar and only stayed at 147 to fight Oscar. If no Oscar he would have moved to 154 earlier. I thought he deserved the win over Oscar but Oscar was very popular. Trinidad was 40 and 0 with 20 title fight wins when Hopkins stopped him. His right was a very hard punch and his left hook was murder. He was left handed.
No WW today could beat prime Tito, DLH, Quartey or Mosley. That was such a great era.
Only Spence could hang but I'm not ready to say he could beat any of them.
if you take away all the low blows he gave Vargas to get him away from him wen Vargas was putting a hurting on him...vargas beats him
You can cry all you want but those low blows f ucked vargas up...
I think it was also those uppercuts and hooks :lol1:
Trinidad murders everyone.
Spence is the only one that can challenge him but I think he gets KTFO too.
Crawford and Pacquiao are too small for him and everyone else at welterweight is everyone else at welterweight. It doesn’t even need to be explained.
I think a lot of people forget that Trinidad beat the ever living ***** out of David Reid and William Joppy, both of whom would probably be undisputed at 154 and 160 in this era. He also knocked out a version of Fernando Vargas, who would be the best P4P fighter in the world today.
Trinidad is a different class than anyone fighting today.if you take away all the low blows he gave Vargas to get him away from him wen Vargas was putting a hurting on him...vargas beats him
You can cry all you want but those low blows f ucked vargas up...
Was Vargas doped for the Tito or Oscar fight?
He was for the Oscar fight. Not sure about the Tito fight, but regardless of if he was, Tito would khtfo like he did!
And Tito beats up and knocks out all current WW's. Pac and Floyd too, although Floyd would run most of the fight, Tito wouldve caught him and cornered him for either a stoppage or ko. Pac wouldve tried to fight fire with fire and he wouldve been ko'd ala Marquez
Tito couldn’t find his way around a jab with GPS but he was too strong for any of these welters.
Spence’s defense is shaky, Trinidad would’ve put hands on him.
Trinidad beats all these Welters convincingly.
Floyd beats him though. Floyd is an ATG in terms of pure skill and IQ, not resume even though that’s as good as it comes as well.
Which version of Tito? If prime I give him the nod on most. Him and Floyd would be close, could even be a draw. The later version of Tito got too dependent on the left hook.
Right now, I only see Crawford being competitive with Tito at 147. I would say a prime Pac and Floyd would also be competitive and those would be 50/50 fights.
I think Tito beats them all. Prime Manny was probably too small. Mayweather might earn the decision, but he’s not active. Trinidad loses to all-time top welterweights who were big enough, not the fighters we see today.
He beats them all.
Vs Spence- Probably his toughest fight. Spence has similar size and strength, but I see him getting overpowered and either losing a UD or stopped late.
Vs Crawford- Bud’s skills give Tito problems but sometime in the mid rounds he’s gonna get nailed with something big, and he’d get stopped late for sure.
Thurman- Keith would be on his bike from the get go but to no avail. He’s hittable despite his running, and his chin isn’t incredible. He would be stopped in no more than 7 rounds.
Porter- Bad style match up. He has no choice but to get in Trinidad’s wheelhouse and i don’t see a good outcome for him. Trinidad KO 5
Vs Garcia- No chance for Danny. Too slow and basic. Trinidad blows him out early doors.
Vs Pacquiao- Even the Pacquiao that beats Cotto gets stopped vs Trinidad. He’s fast handed but he gets hit and doesn’t clinch when he does. This spells disaster for him. I see Tito’s long right hand finding the target very often. Trinidad mid to late rounds KO here.
Vs Mayweather- The feeling is Floyd should win because p4p he’s a better fighter. But he’s not a better welterweight. I see Floyd jumping into the lead with his movement and jab. But that Trinidad right will find its way over Floyd’s shoulder roll like Mosley’s did and when it does, it’s game over. Floyd either gets stopped or gets on his bike like David Reid and loses the unanimous decision. Probably getting knocked down a couple of times.
Trinidad chops them all down, however Thurman and Spence would give him a good fight but Tito still wins.
Pacquiao is too small for Tito and against Floyd it's a 50-50 fight.
Floyd and Pac too?
I think Floyd beats him, but gets ****ed up in the process.
Pacquiao, I don't know. Titos left hook...
Floyd gets on his bike and pot shots. Like the DLH fight but that was an old Oscar though. Prime Tito vs the best version 147 of Floyd? I see him getting rocked like Mosley did to him but doesn't recover as well. Tito is relentless pressure, swings and misses, doesn't matter he keeps coming. He gets either the UD based on workrate and aggression or knocks Floyd out late
On second thoughts, prime Pacquaio does well initially to avoid bombs but gets caught and hurt evetnually then it's all downhill from there
I’m in red because I constantly challenge Anthony Joshua and Canelo Alvarez fans lol.
I can’t criticize Floyd Mayweather. He’s a four division lineal champion, a five division champion and retired undefeated. I think the criticism around him comes from him being the first superstar outside of the “fight everyone anywhere anytime” era.
That being said, I think Trinidad beats him. I just think he’s naturally bigger stronger and hits harder. If Mayweather was Winky Wright’ size, I would pick Mayweather. But he’s not.
Ahh, I see. I'll try to fix that.
Spence would give Trinidad problems. My only question is; can Spence not get hit with the left hook for 12 rounds...
That would be a great fight. Fire fight for sure, I think Spence gets stopped late.
