Seriously. Stop blaming or acting like “coming off a loss” is relevant to every single fighter whom you like/dislike.
The only way “coming off a loss” actually has a significant affect on a Boxer’s next fight is dependent on how that loss was achieved.
Other than that, y’all need to stop those damn excuses already!
“He was coming off a loss”
Yeah and so?!?
A boring ass 12 round decision that one dude lost, automatically becomes the justification for losing the next fight?!!
Stop that already! Stop the excuses FFS!
Agreed. It's become a boxing cliche, but as with everything..context is needed. Each case is not always the same.
It’s most definitely an excuse thrown around here at will.
It’s silly and sad we can’t have logical discussions about boxing simply because salty fans want to insist on trolling speaking nonsense. Not much better things to do with their time I suppose.
Means Andy Ruiz is a bum, since his last fight was against a guy coming off a stoppage loss...?
LOL, you are going to send people's head spinning with that one.
I agree, there's stupid notion that "losing" somehow automatically makes fighter worse.
There are fighters losing in amateurs all the time, guy can lose early in big tournament - then win the next big tournament.
It depends on the fashion - I mean if You lose to a journeymen or take terrible 12 round beating, then it can definitely carry effect... but what's the relevance of Golovkin coming off loss to Canelo with the way fight looked? Or Harrison now coming off loss to Charlo - with how great of a fight that was. I'd watch Harrison with anyone at 154, I still rank him above dude like Munguia who is undefeated but hasn't fought anyone on the level of Charlo.
NSB is just filled with excuses after excuses.

Nothing you write is witty.
Good, so if he was then he was fully healed from the JMM ko and it should never be used as an excuse for losing to Floyd.
Your logic isn’t making any sense dumb dumb. Try again.
Except Manny was coming off an Algieri victory before Floyd.
Lmao, u can’t even make a witty joke properly!
U tried but failed!
Next time dumb dumb.

Agreed. Don't ever use Manny losing to KO by JMM as justification for taking credit away from Floyd for beating him.

Well you are only as good as your last fight man, who gets huge credit for beating a guy who just lost?
You don’t have to look like sht to lose though. And styles make fights. Just as well a guy could be coming off wins but be worse than ever, usually involving a well orchestrated run.
Wins and losses are the name of the game brother. Every fight is different. Boxers will lose a round and then win the next. Stop making excuses for your favorite and/or least favorite fighters. Just stop.
Making excuses??? you made this thread
