Is Alvarez's "I don't like him" a valid reason for not fighting somebody?

You're using it right now. Canelo got busted for PEDs, received a 6 month suspension, and was eligible to fight again on August 17th. The rematch took place less than a month after Canelo was reinstated on Mexican independence day. So yeah, sure, Golovkin ducked the fight in 2018 just like he did in 2016. There's life on Saturn, gravity is a figment of your imagination, and you pee glitter. Nobody believes him.

Not liking someone should have the opposite effect: wanting to beat him to a pulp. Today, it's better to just create a playlist of boxing fights from the 70s to 00s on YouTube, there's thousands of fights you've never watched, perhaps more. I'll guarantee, you'll be more entertained in an hour than anything broadcast post-2015. This is not me being jaded or nostalgic, boxing today is overpriced garbage (dull fights, horrible decisions, crappy production). And people on here get all bent out of shape because some writer penned an article about boxing being dead. It's ****ing dead and buried. Here's proof: most interesting threads on boxingscene is not about fights anymore, but about negotiations, promoter quotes and social media ****e.

If it is, how can we say any fighter ever ducked another fighter? I read comments where fans will say how this fighter ducked another fighter, with zero evidence, and here we have Alvarez admitting he don't want to fight Golovkin and fans say it's no duck. Maybe not, but if that's the case the only time you could call a fighter avoiding another guy a duck, would be if that fighter comes right out and says,"I want to make this crystal clear, I've decided to duck Mr.X" - -OK, you never got the email. Is Alvarez's "I don't like him" a valid reason for not fighting somebody? No it's not. He's just too afraid of fighting him that's all. He gave it all he had in the rematch and still lost in my opinion but now he's burned out. He knows that he can never fight like that again.

Floyd Mayweather was the end of an era. In this mass media and social age, fighters can't suppress the voice of the fans. News, gossip, what have you, spreads fast. There's a fine line where Canelo can go from respected to despised.

Manny doesn't like Horn, refuses to rematch his LOSS = "meh, that's fine, he doesn't need to" Seems legit You forgot the part about Pacquiao wanting more meaningful, reward relevant opponents over a rough housing school teacher cheat. So the judges had it wrong, most fans had it wrong and the boxingscene scorecard had it wrong but you, based on your boxing expertise had it fight, OK :-) His last fight was a win for Canelo, the first fight a draw. First fight I Scored 7-5 Canelo and was a draw Second fight I scored 8-4 and it was a Canelo win. Most people even Abel Sanchez I believe agreed Canelo won the rematch’s Triple G is without a belt coming off the loss. He has no leverage at all.

Triple G having been beaten soundly last time, has no belt. He is no Different to an unproven contender at this point. Triple G should beat one of the champs then unify. Problem Triple G doesn’t like risks and won’t fight Andrade or IBF guy. Ummm...have you not been following things?
