Anthony Joshua must have 'taken his foot off the gas in terms of preparation' before his shock defeat by Andy Ruiz Jr back in June, according to Chris Eubank Jr. Joshua will bid to reclaim his three world heavyweight titles in a highly-anticipated rematch on December 7, with Saudi Arabia finally confirmed as the official venue last week. The thing is, after the rematch, we'd know as a matter of fac,t if the first win was a fluke or not.
Till then all we can do is speculate, and give opinions

Eubank showing that he doesn't really understand the sport that deeply with these comments. Stands to reason as he's technically pretty basic. Ruiz outboxed Joshua with his fast combinations. His physique was misleading, but anyone apart from biased Joshua fans could see after watching the fight that it wasn't a fluke.
I just hope the rematch happens - it still doesn't look definite to me.
As long as it does, Joshua is getting wrecked again unless he suddenly becomes a completely different fighter and boxes well off the back foot.
Dang jr.. Wtf are u smoking?.. I understand standing by your countryman so for that I won't trip.. But for u to say if he doesn't beat Ruiz he will never be at the summit again is stupid to say right after saying he can learn from his mistakes.. So if he loses again.. He's done learning an getting better? Lmao. I think AJ makes cash until he has 5 loses... Before people say he's should retire. He got his azzwhooped?.. Ruiz has his number.. But Wilder would decapitate AJ! Ortiz will retire soon.. because Two fights with Wilder and I will never be the same. Ask Stiverne. Lol
““It was such a shock. You look at the weigh-ins, the face-offs and you look at the size difference, you look at the guys physique - I thought Ruiz was gonna be in there for a round or two max and then he's gonna get blasted out of there...The only way I can explained what happened is that he may have taken his foot off the gas in terms of preparation physically and mentally. He probably didn't respect Ruiz, he probably underestimated him”
Jr sounds like some of the nuthuggers who post on here who have no idea why Joshua lost.
