I am having a REALLY hard time understanding why would any true boxing fan in their right mind want that fight.
I'm a lifelong Pac fan and I have 0 desire to see that shytshow again. Both fighters were old af by the time the first fight happened. It was a borefest no one needed and I give no credit to Floyd for that win simply because the fight happened waaay too late and didn't truly resolve the hot argument of who is better.
I'm sure a bunch of casual pacbois want him to avenge that L but the truth is that even if he beats May now, it will still get us no closer to finding who of the two was the best in their prime. Seeing 2 old farts only damages the image of boxing and y'all should be ashamed of wanting it.
why? Both fighters are far from their prime shape. It's a pointless money-sucking PPV event
Don't buy it then if .....you're not interested and/or broke.
I am entirely apathetic to whether it happens or not. Not much relevance, but dumber things happen all the time.
Having said that, I think the general public's fascination with it is more of a morbid curiosity than anything else really. Both have gone downhill but neither has visibly "lost it" yet. Combine this with the fact that they're older and have fought each other already, so they've pretty much secured their respective legacies yields the speculation in some that perhaps they'll have less reservations/cautiousness about really throwing down this time, and it would lead to a fight that was more satisfying than their 2015 fight. People also want to see stars face off in this particular year that is so devoid of that, even if one is retired.
That's the most generous case for it I can come up with.
I want to see how the fight plays out with a healthy Pacman. Nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe/maybe not. What is evident is Mayweather is shot and not half the fighter he was. A win over him now means nothing. Pacquiao had his chance, got schooled and then made lame excuses.
bruh! you sound shook asf!!! "floyd is shot"... as if manny is still in the best shape of his life???? lol. werent yall telling old grandpa pac to retire leading up to the thurman fight? lol.. this is what i dont get. one week manny is old and should retired, the next week, manny is back to his ped days, etc. LOL.

Paq is a legend too, but this is true. Their time has passed. Lots of network types would still show it for a cash cow, however much it makes ... but there is no need for it in boxing.
Maybe they have kids who can fight in a few years ...
I wish Floyd well in retirement and have no desire to ever see him in the ring again.
As for Pac and Roach, just let Mayweather go and concentrate on ending Manny's career on a high note.
Pacquiao beating a shot to **** Mayweather does nothing for boxing. Only please the people that hate Mayweather. Wanting father time to take what their fighters could not, his 0.
wtf?? but floyd aint gon lose!!!

To give no credit to Mayweather for beating the #2 P4P fighter in the world at the time and a fighter who AFTER that fight has gone on to beat a fellow top P4P fighter in Bradley as well as a top 3 undefeated WW in Thurman is laughable. Of course Mayweather gets credit for that win. I mean if you want to say it doesn't prove that Mayweather is the greater fighter, that is one thing. But to give no credit to Mayweather is flat out wrong. That was not a washed up Pacquiao at that time as proven by his performance against Thurman FOUR YEARS LATER. In fact, Pacquiao entered the fight in better form as Mayweather didn't look all that too dominant in his prior two performances against Maidana.
Anyways, I have no desire to watch the rematch either. It is pitiful that so many fans are wanting Mayweather to risk his life at the age of 42 after the recent deaths we have witnessed. This man hasn't fought a legitimate boxing match in four years and you want him to come back to the sport at such an old washed up age for exactly what? It would be one thing if he was 42 years old and still competing with other world class fighters. But he is 42 years old without a legitimate boxing fight since September of 2015. Embarrassing really, fans should be ashamed of themselves for calling on for this fight.
Why would anyone even care who wins or loses in a rematch? That clash is irrelevant - both fighters are old
Come on dude. The majority of posters desperately want Floyd to lose in the ring so they can invalidate his career.
Floyd being so successful makes many people upset because they don’t like to see someone like him be successful.
People wanting it now just want Mayweather to lose. Simple as that.
what????? but floyd aint gon lose. easy money. why wouldnt yall want this for TBE? you dont sound confidence with that reply
