I think Manny would go on I guess. I just saw him wearing a shirt in the post fight with a glittering letters of "Fight On" and there was no sign whatsoever that he wanted to finally bring the curtain down.
Mikey Garcia in an interview after the fight, said, he personally asked Manny "Why still go on? What is there to accomplish, you've done it all Manny?" Manny simply answered him: for the Legacy, he wanted to add more.
Going by this, I think he is going straight to the winner of Porter vs. Spence. He would not bother with the Amir Khan's or Andy Garcia's because those guys don't have major belts, those guys no longer increase his legacy. Maybe those lower tier guys can get it after Spence as a farewell fight in his hometown.
I think he went to PBC knowing that him and Spence would eventually meet, if not sooner then later. He always knew just like Roger Federer once said against the rude reporter that he didn't join the French Open to avoid Rafael Nadal.--Pacquiao knew exactly that their path would eventually cross.
As for Crawford, it's bad luck for him because he's out of reach at the moment, he had his chance though, but, Arum didn't want to invest for him against Pacquiao. He had Pacquiao's head right there and then.--that was such an opportunity loss to increase his value and legacy.
Pac don't need that work stay away
I don't doubt for a second he would give Spence all he can handle but Pac has nothing to prove anymore he and Floyd are legends and in their prime were far and away better than the current WW division
One thing after the Thurman fight he said it reminded him of the Margarito fight thats kind of worrying to hear as anyone who watched his movie a few years back and saw him leaving the arena he almost went to his knees and said he spent the new few days in bed and had never felt so destroyed so imagine how he felt after Thurman at 40?
that fight might have taken the last bit he had left and that makes a fight with Spence even more dangerous
To be clear, the title for the Legacy doesn't just mean he's fighting Errol Spence the boogeyman or the weight bully as some people claim him to be--The David vs Goliath scenario is a given here. But more importantly, it's for attempting to unify 3 titles at his age. That should shoot up his legacy to even higher stratospheric level. Of course for Spence, it's the passing of the torch moment. Very big deal for his currently booming career. Both of them is in a special once in a lifetime opportunity here.
Yes I'm afraid, I've already counted Porter out. After seeing the changes of Welterweight pound for pound rankings lately and Manny has already overtaken Spence and Crawford on some of them. I have no little doubt that Errol Spence would try his best to decimate Porter to pieces in the upcoming fight to reclaim his pound for pound standing.
Pac can fight even UFC bums now after beating legit champ at 40 years old, I won't judge him!
But NO Spence/Crawford at 41! Maybe fight Khan for golden money.
Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter, Danny Swift also, I don't want to see Pacquiao end up badly hurt against Errol.
I disagree with you. Pacquiao beating the welterweight boogeyman at 40/ 41 would be sensational. More sensational than beating De La Hoya when very few people had faith in him.
This would be another freak show -type of fight. Modern day David Vs Goliath. People who genuinely care about Pacquiao would be peeing in their pants from start to finish. The anxiety would be insane.
People who genuinely care about it him wouldn’t want it to happen. Why chase greatness when you’ve already achieved it?
That’s what makes the Spence fight a million times more exciting. The odds are against Pac. Can he beat em’? If he can, the reward would be phenomenal.
It also makes it a million times more dangerous...
... ODLH win was truly "for the legacy"...
... a Spence fight, right now, would only be for "huge money", but not for "legacy"... (Pac is 41 yo...)

Pac should leave Crawford and spence alone. He's been involved in enough quartets already in career. He fought and beat thurman before these trio even fought each other once.
Pac beats thurman, they say spence is better than thurman?. Pac beats spence they say Crawford is better than spence?
He's oldest ww champ ever he can't top that.
This. pacquiao already has a legacy. Crawford and Spence must build their own. the best option is fighting each other.
Pacquaio already has brain damage. Fighting Spence would probably accelerate the onset of Parkinson's and/or serious dementia by a couple of years.
You probably has brain damage too much hate can damage your brain.

What about Porter -spence winner against Crawford for the legacy? they are the same generation. Time to find out who is the best of them.
Winner of these 3 should get a payday against Pac.
For the Legacy: Pacquiao vs Spence
(...)
It’s 2008 all over again !!! Remember when the De La Hoya was first announced? That was a freak show that got a lot of people talking. A David Vs Goliath type of fight. The Spence fight would have the same feel and excitement. Damn, I’m psyched !!!
... ODLH win was truly "for the legacy"...

Pac s best of era already. Oldest ww champ ever so I'm not sure he can top thurman win.
Spence and Crawford didn't fight and beat thurman a former flyweight did.
So no point Pac being a martyr.
Pac s fought everyone for 20 years. This current trio have not fought each other yet, Pac s started the ball rolling he took responsibikty.
That's enough
But that time Pacquiao had youth on his side, this time it’s firmly against him.
That’s what makes the Spence fight a million times more exciting. The odds are against Pac. Can he beat em’? If he can, the reward would be phenomenal.
Lulz, you listen to Pacquaio talk? I know English is his 2nd language but damn, he sounds like he has a hard time thinking and you never hear him say anything very bright.
He comes from the slums in Kibawe, he’s had little to no education. What do you expect?
I’m no doctor but I see know signs of brain damage.
After the beating Spence put on Mikey I think he would slaughter Pacquiao. It would end in a KO because Pacquiao won't go into a defensive shell. What will a bad beat down and a KO loss do for his legacy? Now would be a good time for him to retire after this great win.
LOL at comparing Mikey Garcia to Pacquiao. Sorry but once Spence tastes Pac's speed/power combo, plans go out the window.
Pacquaio already has brain damage. Fighting Spence would probably accelerate the onset of Parkinson's and/or serious dementia by a couple of years.
Brain damage? You know this how? Oh let me guess your an internet doctor. Get out with this nonsense.
I’d just be really worried when he eventually tires, his level visibly slowed against Thurman after around 5 rounds, and he took some clean shots from Thurman. I genuinely dread to think what damage Spence could do in those last 6 rounds. Manny is a tough warrior and would attempt to endure it also.
Just out of interest, how do you think Pacquiao beats Spence? Outboxes him on the back foot or forces him backwards the way he did to Thurman several times?
Uses his lateral foot movement, and lands in between his gloves, and spins him all night. Also, Spence is very aggressive, and will give Manny a lot of chances to land on him.
But then again, Spence's reach and jab can give Manny a lot of problems, but Manny can also counter on top of his jab as well.
Honestly, this is a tough fight to call, and wouldn't be surprised at either guy winning, and agree, Manny did slow down during the latter rounds. Prime Manny could bring it every second of every round, but this older version has to take more rounds off.
I'd favor Spence 55/45.
