Pacquiao took flush shots from heavy-handed guys like Thurman, Rios, Margarito, Mosley, Oscar, etc and has never come close to ever going down. He actually has a legendary chin.
Yet little 40year old Marquez who couldn't stop guys like Alvarado, Juarez, Fartchenko, etc was able to knock Manny Pacquiao down, and later put him unconscious with single shots. Why?
I've always found this scene bizarre.

I was a long time supporter of the idea that Marquez just got lucky with that punch but after watching the fight a few more times, I realized that Marquez was waiting for that opportunity. It looked like he studied Pacman's moves a lot more thoroughly before the fight and was ready to catch him with that right. I'm a huge Pac's fan but all the props to Marquez for doing the homework preparing for the 4th fight
This. And it was the perfect storm of Manny basically diving INTO that punch.
A car going 100 into a street light? Or a car going 100 into a car going 100?
Almost example B rexy .....put it simply Running into a punch will only increase the power of impact
Stop with the false accusations or you’ll be reported
Can't handle the truth huh? Everyone and their dog knows he was juiced. Do you think he hired Memo -- the most famous drug cheat trainer in sports -- cause he liked his smile? :lol1:
Clearly marquez was on memo juice at that fight.
The guy looked like hulk and those pimples at the back are so obvious.Marquez was drowning in juice while he was training in mexico. You know these mexican fighters are always doing shady things tainted meat etc.
timing and precision and landing at exactly the right time.....I don’t think people realise just how devastating that right hand was made to be after Pacquiao ran face first into it.......it was like bing in a car crash...it could have killed him.

Yeah, the first KD is the suspicious one as Pacquiao sees it coming, got his guard up and it still drops him.
it was a great set up from JMM. If you watch again the fight, JMM put variety of punches and was doing great body work.
Pac thought JMM was going for the body which is why he lowered his guard. Then boom, JMM goes for the head which Pac did not expect.
JMM is a great tactician.
Pain meds are not gonna help with a concussive force like JMM hit Manny with. Plus in order to dull the pain from punches from pro boxers one would have to be given a huge dose and its benefits would not outweigh the side effects. Manny would likely fall asleep in his corner.
Totally agree, boxers should be smart enough to stay away from this analgesic due to its risks and side effects. The sport of sweet science is a brutal one and abusing toradol is a very dumb idea cause it could cause brain bleed due to trauma from punches to the head, bleeding stomach/guts ulcers and could even lead to kidney failure. I think the dude who started the toradol theory in this thread is just a pachater and just trolling lol!
Team Pacquiao was CAUGHT WITH A SYRINGE FULL OF TORADOL *and other stuff*. The NSAC stopped Mannys medical team (Dr Elattrache himself) from issuing the shot.
There never any requesting ahead of time. That's why NSAC didnt know about it. Nor was there any truth to the imaginary TUE that Bob Arum claims to had have.
FACTS.
False. Lawsuits say otherwise. Players were more prone to minor injuries turning into career ending injuries and more specifically concussions.
Secondly - blocking pain receptors is exactly how pain medication works.
Cool story.
You should explain your "neighbor punch you in the face" theory to WADA and State Athletic Commisions. That way they can create a new prohibited list of banned substances.
Let me know how that turns out for you.

Go look up what NFL players say about it. It takes all their pain away and makes them feel like they can run through a wall. The NFL teams wouldn't be shooting up their players and damaging there health if it did nothing.
Toradol is classified as an NSAID type of pain medication like ibuprofen, aleve, naproxen etc. I agree that a toradol shot is much stronger than those I mentioned but abusing this analgesic, one may suffer bleeding ulcers in the guts/stomach and would ultimately fry their kidneys. I think Pac or any other boxers would be smart enough to steer clear from this pain killer.
Very simple; Pac used to literally "leap" into opponents and use the momentum of his bodyweight. That worked against him when Marquez timed him. Manny doesn't do sloppy shyt like that anymore. You can watch his fights before and after if you need proof.
I blame Arum for that fight. Do to Arum keeping all fights in house Manny had no one else to fight. So Arum gave Marquez yet another fight and Marquez was the wrong fighter to keep giving rematches because eventually he was gonna learn Paq's timing. Oh yeah, the steroids helped too.
Go to Marquez' gym in Mexico and you'll find out. It's an open secret he was juiced to the gills for that fight, they even joke and laugh about it.
This shouldn't be a surprise considering he hired the most famous drug cheat in sports to "supplement" his training.

- -BALCO Meme Heredia vitamins.
Is this designed to be a slam dunk ???
Tbh there’s not much in size between 135-147lb guys. You get Lomas & Marga guys but most are 5ft 6-8 not much in it. Marquez is ATG who had pacs number to a degree so it’s not surprising.
He hit that bulls-eye switch off button, even the first knockdown didn't faced Manny, no jelly legs--no sign of deterioration, instead it only made him even more relentless and Marquez inadvertently activated Manny's killer instinct.
The second knockdown, Marquez hit that ultimate perfect spot, it's like a light-switch, the brain just switched off.
It was a great shot from Marquez and he knows he can't repeat it and Manny just got better defensively afterwards. Marquez is astute enough to assess this, this is why he refused the 100 million dollar rematch offer from Top Rank and just said he wanted to keep the feeling. Maybe he regretted this somewhere along the way, and part of his hate with Canelo was Canelo earning big bucks that he should have gotten with that last rematch and it didn't made him after all more popular than Julio Cesar Chavez and now Canelo is closing in on him in ATG status real fast.
