Better actually. I love Duran, but Pac has surpassed him in my book. Duran captured the MW title at age 37 or 38 from Iran Barkely. Pac won the WW title from an undefeated Thurman ten years his junior at age 40. All of Pac's trilogies have placed him well above any fighter of the last twenty years.

Historically, fighters that do trilogies plus leave part of their best in those fights and are never the same. It's boxing history. You don't know that so you're not being legitimate. Thurman is a great fighter. JMM was a great fighter and one of the only guys not on a losing streak which is why Manny went life & death with him so much. I have JMM winning all but the first fight which was a draw. ON PAPER, Manny got the wins, get it? Floyd, come on man, Coralles was a great fighter and most people had Corrales stopping Floyd. Duran even with losses, ko'd etc is universally recognized as top 10 atg. Manny is cut from that cloth.

He showed fast footwork against SRL in the first fight. And also against movers like Bizarro and Fernandez. His footwork is actually underrated these days. He couldn’t catch SRL because of things we don’t know, but it’s known that he over indulged himself prior to the rematch to the point that he was not in his best shape. And I’m sorry but I just can’t envision Pac being able to handle someone like Hagler, even if they were the same size. That’s just me. Pac is definitely a rare breed, but so is Duran.
