$12 mil is a big number, but fairness is an issue here - takes two to tango and Kov is probably the biggest name at LHW over the last 5 years - maybe even this decade. He brings value to the fight. Also logic ain't the only factor here... it might be the biggest payday Kov can get by a massive margin but dudes can't be expected to fight for a small percent of the total purse even if it is bigger $ sum than they could get elsewhere - fairness is strong factor in this kinda calculation. I'd say something like 20/80 - 25/75 would be fair in this case.

I don't know all about the economics of the situation, but Kovalev is no miracle man. He doesn't have a huge fan base. He is known in boxing circles, but TBH Ward took a lot of his lustre away. He's looking for that retirement money, and there is no bigger fight out there for him. But in my estimation, he doesn't command that kind of money. That is heavyweight money. Jacobs is a draw now?
