I think Tyson was measured in boxing shoes. Wlad has always said he's an inch shorter than his listed 6'6". Ali has always said he's 6'2.5" and Tyson claims 5'10". But they could all be even shorter and claiming heights only slightly lower than their listed heights to seem truthful. Fury was listed as 6'7" in his early 20s and seemed the same height as 6'6" Cooney when he interviewed him before the Wilder fight. Perhaps he could even be 6'6". Evander was listed as 6'1" as a cruiserweight. Foreman was listed as 6'3" in his first career. Well it seems to me that it’s a holdover to the past. Leaving themselves room to create billed heights to make everyone seem a little more statuesque compared to the rest of us. Like the circus, pro wrestling etc. It’s just insane that weight is such a huge deal and u can’t fake it, but the rest is so vague. Imagine fighting a guy who in person doesn’t match what’s on paper? Or ends up being a southpaw? I respect anyone who gets on a scale fight night. That’s laying it on the table. no, guys would never lie about their height :haha: Right. So in all seriousness u understand how crazy it is that we are we even debating the Heavyweight Champions height?! They fight for millions, millions are bet, we analyze and debate for months. How is there no legit visual official height measurement on camera? What about reach? Do we question that? Was it done by a commission each fight? Do they just get to list their own height on a form? Btw I never lie about my height cause I was laser measured at just over 5’10” which looks good cause I can dunk a basketball. Course I could be lying about that I guess. Plus it’s nice to be the tallest 5’10” guy in the world apparently.
