Are Team Canelo avoiding the Third GGG fight for September?

Guys boxing is a business. Stop with this "Canelo wants him to earn the fight" nonsense. There are many reasons why the fight isn't happening. Maybe Golovkin wants too much money. Maybe Canelo want the fight to happen in Vegas and GGG doesn't. Many, many reasons...

These were gift decisions, the first one should have gone to GGG easily, the second one was closer. I don’t think Canelo wants to risk a third fight that may not go his way, but I also don’t think he is afraid of Golovkin. To his credit he did just fight Jacobs, and he appears willing to fight Kovalev. I think if Canelo knows he can earn the same money vs a different opponent he will seek fights elsewhere. Meanwhile, he can wait out GGG to age another year or two and still earn the same money in a rematch but with an older GGG. Yeah that’s essentially how I see it...

The guy lost the first fight and was gifted a draw. The 2nd fight left a lot of people split. Of course he doesn't want this fight again when there's much easier fights to be made.

Of course they are avoiding it. It's a boring fight. It would be refreshing to see how Canelo will challenge himself next. GGG and his fans on the other hand won't stop untill Saul literally kills GGG in the ring because any fight where GGG loses by a few points they'll think he got robbed. GGG and his fans need to move on with their lives and continue looking for more challenges that solidify who GGG says he is. Right now GGG and his fans are just coming off as emotional whiny p*ssies. Golovkin vs Alvarez I GGG was Champ and Canelo was challenger. Golovkin vs Alvarez II GGG still Champ and Alvarez still challenger. It's a fact to say Golovkin gave Alvarez two shots art his titles. ggg gave away an undisputed shot vs BJS cuz he wanted to get the canelo money more than the titles, oscar ordered ggg to not take that fight if he wanted to fight canelo, so for ggg canelo was more important than the titles, even in the rematch he gave away his ibf title cuz he didnt wanted to risk the canelo fight, that alone should tell you who was the one giving the opportunity... for ggg canelo was more important than the titles, for canelo ggg is not as important... it might sound unfair but at this point canelo is more important than titles, ggg not so much...

Yes, he's ducking Gennady because now he would have to test clean in order to fight him. He can no longer be on the juice in a trilogy fight with GGG. I don’t think you can say Canelo personally is ducking him, I mean he’s already fought him twice. He clearly has no issue fighting GGG. I just think the team behind him are trying to ensure Canelo has as much of an advantage as possible for the third fight. Whilst they are also skeptical of risking their prize asset against a guy who should at least be 1-1 with him.

Yes you make great valid points! I totally agree with you that the belts these days are a joke and irrelevant. I put no weight on them but most people do so that's why I said Canelo should fight Andrade for the undisputed championship. Munguia I agree with you but Andrade although not as accomplished as ggg is basically the next guy in line coupled with the fact that he’s In his prime former Olympian and an undefeated champ No one should bash canelo for picking him next. I wouldn’t bash Canelo at all. Andrade is a very good fighter. I’d strongly suggest the winner of a potential Canelo-GGG 3 fight unified with Andrade in their next fight. Andrade is willing to fight anyone, Golovkin is not Golovkin is not the best middleweight on the planet, Canelo is most of the top 6-7 would be very good opponents, but Golovkin is not willing to fight them..... it is clearly obvious that he does not intend to take any kind of risk before facing Canelo, and will most likely retire immediately following the trilogy fight boxing is all about divisional supremacy..... so if Golovkin is not willing to participate in divisional supremacy, so is therefore largely irrelevant to the middleweight division..... then the WBO champ Andrade is definitely more deserving, no question Andrade is willing to fight anyone. Andrade has a belt. Triple g don't so how is he more deserving a Canelo fight than Andrade??? And Canelo has money so he don't need Triple g. Belts are essentially irrelevant, they’re just a marketing tool. It’s about the best vs the best and at 160 that’s Canelo vs GGG. That’s like saying GGG should’ve fought BJS instead of Canelo in 2017 cause Canelo didn’t have a belt. Canelo could vacate every belt he has and he’d still be recognised as the #1 in the division and true lineal champion.
