So he'll do his IBF mandatory on the Mexico card, that Rafael has said hes on. WoB bid this low amount, to have control of the promotion. Just like what happened with Soro/Castano, Soro's side won the bid, dropped the belt, and the WBA allowed Soro's team to make a deal with another guy in the rankings Kurbanov on the same date. So they have said Sep 14th would be a date that theyd put on the fight, Golden Boys Vegas date. They'll go down the rankings and what do you know theres DDLH who Golden Boy want a title fight for. WoB are happy they've got Akhmadaliev a slot on a high profile card and the title shot they want. GBP are happy they've got a chief support for the card and DDLH a title shot. Then maybe Hearn gets Roman/Vargas unification to put on at the tail end of the year. A much bigger fight for Roman. Everyones happy, lol.

Don't they only have a certain amount of time to make the fight after winning a purse bid? What was the time frame on Castano pulling out and them getting Kurbanov in? They had the date for Castano, Kurbanov stepped in on that date. Seems odd theyd give Golden Boys date to the WBA, when neither fighters aligned with GBP. De La Hoya fights next week, could be theres a deal already in place, just have to sort out purses.

Seems strange when he was looking for unifications. It isn't like he's big for the weight. But hopefully we get that fight in America in September. Everybody gets robbed in Russia. I think he'll vacate, Rafael said hes on that Mexican card. Only explanation, that stops it being a duck, is hes had 2 mandatories put on him, and will fight Iwasa the IBF mandatory on the Mexico card.
