Before Pantera Nery signed to pbc he was only known in Mexico and Japan. Now he is getting a lot of exposure in the US fighting on big cards and will continue to do so. I'd say they're treating him good.

The PBC has a very large following among Latinos in general and Mexicans and Chicanos in particular. For example; For several decades Mexican Americans and African Americans were the most popular fighters in the sport of boxing. So this doesn't make any sense to me. Why would an African American company wants to bum bash Mexican American fighters? What happen last night was only an aberration and would probably never happen again. He was a last minute opponent and they had to have a fill in for the card. Jorge Cota was available which was the reason why he was called up. Leo Santa Cruz named his son after Al Haymon because he does right by his Latino and Chicano fighters. Also, Angel Garcia Danny Garcia's dad once called Al Haymon God.

Fighters have a say, they can take a fight or not take a fight and choose a different route. Some guys have the BALLS to take fights for a great payday and a great opportunity to pull the upset and get themselves a even bigger payday People bash Leo Santa Cruz and say he is "Protected By Haymon" so which one is it exactly? Also a lot being invested into David Benavidez, the hope is to make him a SUPERSTAR. $$$ is the Bottom Line at the end of the day regardless of the Race of fighter. I don't have any criticism of the way Haymon treats Mexican fighters. The reason I don't like him is that he is a dyed in the wool cock-blocker. The kind of guy who instinctively responds to competition by trying to undermine it, rather focusing on doing something better himself. interesting take. Maybe the way he does things is in response to the way he's been treated by the major networks. He was banned from HBO and was only given time buys by ESPN. I think the fights he's made on CBS and Fox have been much improved.
