I’m very excited about this fight as it matches two under appreciated fighters in their primes for great reward. I think these are the best two fighters in the division, but both have shown crucial flaws. Who do you think wins?
Personally, I have Prograis because I don’t like the way Taylor rushes in during desperate times or when he wants to pick up the tempo. Both fighters have been touched, with Taylor probably having better opposition despite fewer fights.
I'm going with Taylor to win this. He has reach and height on Prograis and he roughs opponents up at close quarters.
I've watched a few of Prograis' fights on YT and I've noticed that he likes to keep everything clean and flowing and tends to stop working and wait for the ref to call break when the action get messy close up.
Josh never looks for resets like that, and I see him taking advantage of Prograis' "freeze" reaction with his rough house physicality and strength.
This fight is the sh.it
Can’t wait for it to happen / when the 2nd season was announced you’d figure it be these 2 left standing and they both delivered now they get to fight to see who the #1 guy and the next to wear the crown at 140.
This is a great 'trade' fight. A fight hardcore fans can get pumped up about.
I think this is the spirit of the wbss and no one is really talking about it (even though we don’t have a date). Why don’t we have a date?
The main difference between the two is the punching power.also i don't like taylors recklessness when he s on the offensive in later rounds.the tornado to be put out in 10 in a FOTY barn burner
One of the fights I'm looking forward to most this year, both undefeated top level - possibly even elite - talents for my money. I was leaning towards Taylor more prior to Regis' demolition job on Relikh and the hard work Taylor made of Baranchyk... for my money the pair of Belorusians were roughly of a level and Prograis' dominance eases him ahead in my mind.
Can't damn wait, but I gotta hope this one ends up on relatively neutral territory. I wouldn't cry if it came to Manchester though, of course... *fingers crossed*
Looking forward to the fight .
I'm a fan of Regis and I chose him to win the 140 lbs WBSS tournament from day one .
Taylor didn't look as slick as I Thought he would be against Baranchyk . Ivan had some success in their fight .
Even with all his defensive issues he was able to rough Taylor up a bit . Which is not good since I believe Prograis is a better Puncher than Baranchyk .
