Part of Floyd's brand is being the bad guy. So any chance to undermine him in anyway is pro-Floyd's brand anyway so I doubt Floyd cares he's been "unseated" when he wasn't even in the race to begin with. Floyd's name mentioned in any article probably increases the clickability of said article by some nice %.
Seems like just love to take shots and throw dirt on his name, never mind the fact that the story is false to begin with. Mayweather didn't get "unseated", he retired, and had he not, he most likely would still be the highest paid athlete.
Almost every news outlet has been repeating the same fake story, which doesn't even make sense because Floyd hasn't fought professionally in not 1, but almost 2 years now so of course he's not going to be the highest paid athlete.
So you think that he would get guarantees that high without being able to draw large enough crowds to cover his purse? That's a losing deal for everyone who manages him, so I personally can't see that happening, unless I have to also believe that Finkel/Haymon both don't know how money works. Wilder's PPV debut sold $24M in PPV alone, and his dance partner was a UK guy who had been retired for over 2 years. He's not drawing like Joshua, but he's a bona fide star in the sport. You have to REALLY dislike him if you're unable to admit that. Seriously, $30.5M in 2 fights = star lol
Not sure how wilder got paid so much. Dude couldn’t even sell out in his home town. Either way good for him
Canelo will most likely move to first once Messi and Ronaldo retire. They're both ancient for soccer players. They have maybe 2 years of prime age left, tops.
Neymar is younger but will fall off after rape charges surfaced a week ago. Sponsors have already started leaving.
So Canelo will be a solid 3rd, maybe first if he fights 3 times instead of twice for the year.
He is being paid not by the seats his fights fill. Look st GGG. He is getting paid $20 mil to fight bums regardless of the turnout

Nonsense. Rumor has it Floyd was seen last weekend in a 1993 Cadillac stalled at an intersection in Las Vegas farting in the gas tank with a million dollar watch on his wrist.
:cool2: Keep imagining that.
Fake Forbes nonsense. This is like the Kylie Jenner $1 billion fake news.
Exactly. Forbes isn't reliable. Snoop and several other people on the list have said so in the past.
... sure... while GGG was like: $25.5 M vs Canelo + $0 vs Rolls, right?...
I don't see what ggg has to do with it,but I was just going off whats been reported & by simple common sense considering forbes has him down as making 30 mil & thats the amount that the media reported he made for both fights.....
If he's not, then who the hell is? Are there 9 other guys in the sport drawing his crowds or earning his purses? The idea that a guy who made $30M on 2 fights isn't a draw is a bit nonsensical.

I think the poster is misinformed. It’s not that he is broke it’s that he isn’t a big draw. Plus he has acts like a ******. AJ has a chill personality. I was surprised to see him on the list. I think it’s funny how they stated he unseated Mayweather. Technically yes but if Floyd fought once he would easily be on top

i don't hate the guy at all but i just can't stand his diehard fans.
OH that I agree.. I hate Cristiano Ronaldo's fans acting like he's a god but he and Messi are truly a class above the rest currently.
Surprised by Wilder TBH, it is the financial year 1st July 2018 - 30th June 2019 so that would only include Fury & Breazeale, wonder where the $30.5M came from between those two fights?
For some athletes it would be pretty easy to calculate in leagues where payments are public or where sponsorship details are made public, but for the rest they are just going on what has been public or guesses.
Like Joshua's $10M in sponsorships, they are just guessing there.
20 mil brassiere +10.5 mil fury
why do people claim Wilder is broke?
