Is it gonna be like Pacquaio-Mosley or Pacquiao-Clottey?
After tasting GrandPac's power......
Is Thurman gonna backpedal all night and refuse to engage like Mosley did?
Or just keep his hands up all night and not throw punches like Clottey did?
Sorry but if the 2016/17 version of thurman shows up then Pac will take a bad beating. I feel bad for saying it but pac better pray Thurman is still rusty like he was against lopez.
the thing is pac has never been dominated or took a "beating"... even in the fight against marquez where he got knocked out, he wasnt taking a beating.
i can see thurman knocking manny out with a shot like marquez did one punch, but i dont see manny taking a beating for 12 rounds.
pac is not the type of fighter to take a beating and not do anything back. pac will knocked out first before he takes a beating. different animal brah.
They all think they can take his power. The only one who REALLY could take it and not ever get stung was Mayweather. Everyone else got stung in pretty much every fight by him. I'm sure there are small examples where it didn't happen but Keith is stupid in thinking Pac can't hurt him.
imo marquez was the only guy to take manny's punches. marquez is also the only guy that didnt fight scared.
A mix of Floyd (clinching and running), Clottey and possibly even Marquez with some quick counters. Thurman’s movement and counter pot shots could make for a long night for Manny.
Mayweather just has a great defense
Plus hes a master at controlling distance and pace
Pac had to reach to get him and that takes away power
And Pacquaio buzzed Floyd twice too.
Pretty sure that's the only time Floyd has been hurt twice in one fight.
Could be wrong though.
The only way to negate Pacquiao is having reach advantage, hand speed, and counters.
As you can see, Broner had all the qualities to beat Pacquiao, but instead, fought Pacquiao on the backfoot and backpedaling throughout the fight. But Broner was able to negate Pacquiao's offense, but not enough.
Thurman has reach advantage and good at counters. He has no hand speed. Watched most his fights in his prime and compare it to recent fights of Pacquiao side by side. This I tell you, Thurman slow as a turtle even in his prime. Instead of speed, he just try to muscle it out. Too slow and very open. If you ask me, Thurman is the perfect matchup for Pacquiao style-wise.
Pacquiao is the underdog according to bettors in Vegas. I'll be rich come July 20.
Thurman is slow?
I've heard it all now :lol1:

The version of Thurman that had close fights with porter and Danny garcia?
Didnt look that spectacular when jumping up to decent opposition huh?
That's how you can tell about the level of a fighter.
When he jumps up to solid opposition, how does he compare?
Close, arguable fights.
Tells me Thurman is in the porter, Danny Garcia class of fighter.
Even washed up pac is levels beyond that class.
They weren't really arguable fights, Thurman beat them clearly.
That version of Thurman is just too athletic and powerful for little Pacquiao. It wouldn't surprise me if Pac gets knocked out.
However, that is only if Thurman doesn't looked washed up again liked he did against Lopez. Those injuries might have completely changed Thurman.

I misunderstood the clottey fight.
But you got a chance to fight Pacquiao, too. What happened?
Looking back, I feel like I made a mistake with the Pacquiao fight by not throwing punches. But sometimes, to tell you the truth, I feel like it's OK. I had a lot of issues with my manager at the time, Vincent Scolpino. He took advantage of me. Our agreement said that he would help financially until I reached $70,000 a fight. He was taking 33 percent of my money. But once I started making over $70,000, he just disappeared. He wasn't doing anything a manager should do. He wasn't providing any financial help. Not even encouragement. Meanwhile, my promoter is the one getting me fights. Vinny wouldn't even come see me in camp. He would show up fight week, collect his money after the fight and that was it.
I don't think people understand how much that can weaken a fighter's spirit. I didn't see Vinny until the week of the Pacquiao fight. So, after the weigh-in, I went to his hotel room. I told him how unhappy I was. I said, drop the 33 percent down to 27 percent. He refused. When I fought Pacquiao, I decided I was just going to defend myself. I wasn't going to put my life on the line for people who did nothing, but take from me. It was all about business for Vinny. And I'm going in there taking punches so that he can take a big portion even though you don't speak to me.
