I was shocked and hurt. Then i was like "the long count tho!!" Lol. If we had been paying attention, we'd have noticed Tyson's decline in the Bruno fight before Douglas. Once he left Kevin Rooney his skills deteriorated, and he started to look for one big shot.

You right, it's not remotely comparable but not in the way you think. Joshua has never been perceived the way Tyson was. Joshua had been down against Wlad and shaken in several other fights. I remember them showing newspapers from all over the world with Tyson on his knees with the mouthguard hanging out. It was a monumental upset. People who claim Ruiz beating Joshua is bigger don't understand how Tyson was perceived back then. He was generally thought of as unbeatable by the available HWs of the day and was a lock to be an ATG maybe the greatest. It was inconceivable to think Douglas was going to do anything but lose and lose spectacular. He was a considered a decent journeyman type fighter who had good skills but was inconsistent and wouldn't be able to handle the Tyson onslaught.
