I was saying Wilder ducked Joshua because I thought Wilder was the B fighter and should have taken 40% to fight Joshua in England but I admit now Wilder is the "A" fighter and understand why Hearn was protecting Joshua from him.
just because Ruiz beat Joshua doesn't mean Wilder would. There is a good chance Ruiz might beat Wilder too.
Pay no attention to ignorant or tasteless content. Having an opinion or supporting a countryman does not make a person delusional or any other host of derogatory terms thrown out there.
The fact of the matter is that Wilder did not defeat Joshua, Andy Ruiz did. Styles make fights, and apparently shorter, fundamentally sound, fast, pressure fighters with a warrior spirit, give AJ serious problems. Wilder is not Ruiz.
Now, after that loss to Ruiz would you give the edge to Wilder ? Sure, but until they fight it's impossible to say with 100% certainty who wins. Many people believe AJ has been losing the hunger it takes to be a champion, ever since the Klitchsko fight. He may get it back, or he may be done for good.
Listen, I'm an old semi-crusty American boxing fan, and have never said a slanderous word toward Joshua, Wilder or their devoted followers. The truth is their rivalry is good for boxing. If you love boxing, you wanted those two to meet in an epic mega fight between two undefeated champions. There's some disappointment that ship has sailed. If you love sportsmanship and decency, you'll appreciate how AJ handled his defeat and his behavior in general, before and after the fight. If you love a success story, you can't help but celebrate along with Andy Ruiz Jr., in accomplishing a phenomenal upset, capturing the Heavyweight title, and making his "dreams come true".
Either way, we were once again reminded that nothing in life, or boxing is guaranteed. There is one thing for certain though. If you have a head attached to your neck, you can have an opinion. You may have an opinion about an opinion. You could have an opinion, about a person, who has an opinion of another opinion. There is no shortage of opinions.
Let's just hope that somewhere in between we leave room for decency, respect, and some common good will toward one another. I know the trendy and "sexy" thing to do is to come up with all sorts of clever, foul, profane, and carnal banter, but eventually we need to look ourselves in the mirror. I realize a number of fans make it difficult to take the high road, but I believe one day guys will see the low road ain't all it's cracked up to be.
Peace. :cool2:
That one dimension rears its head every time
Sure nothing is automatic or 100 percent guaranteed
It's the way aj lost though ....gassed...wanting no more ....getting hit ....showing a percieved lack of heart
And people knowing Wilder is almost the exact opposite....Wilder is a killer and wants it ....ur really going to have to hurt him to finish him
yes indeed!!!!!
I was saying Wilder ducked Joshua because I thought Wilder was the B fighter and should have taken 40% to fight Joshua in England but I admit now Wilder is the "A" fighter and understand why Hearn was protecting Joshua from him.You are absolutely right. That was why old man Barry Hearn said that he preferred prolonging the Deontay Wilder fight for as long as possible; Even until 2020 because he, McCracken and Eddie all knew how vulnerable Anthony Joshua was.
He is chinny, has bad stamina and can't take a punch. He would have survived the onslaught had he been in there with an old, washed out and past his prime Wladimir Klitschko or perhaps even Luis Ortiz but not against someone his own age and peer.
He wouldn't have survived it.
It's not like Wilder looked amazing in all of his fights. When he fights an opponent that is not completely tailor-made for him he struggles and only wins because of his right hand. Sure Joshua is flawed too but to think Wilder beating Joshua is the foregone conclusion is delusional.
wilder somewhat uses his jab whereas aj cant jab to save his life and gets tired, ruiz can catch wilder in a mix up but if wilder fights smart and doesn't gas (he has a tank) he will KO ruiz imo
yeah I knew if wilder landed he'd beat aj and aj is there to land on with poor stamina... but I always thought aj would at least give him some trouble for a few rounds, not anymore. I was never sold on the aj hype. he himself is a good guy and it seems like all the hype and pressure from hearn and the fanatics made him mentally fold because he knew himself he wasn't on the level they were making him out to be, thus the psychiatrist and mental breakdown b4 the fight.

Joshua until Ruiz fight was never truly punished for having too much muscle and being stiff. This is boxing not body building. I have no idea how wilder would react if his stamina was this bad. Wilder got hurt before but I have never seen him even close to being as gassed as Joshua. Joshua needs to stop weight lifting and do more cardio.
I never said it was an accident but I would say it makes him one dimensional. I would actually favor him against Joshua at this point but just because Joshua lost to a good fighter doesn't mean he is bum all of the sudden and it doesn't mean Wilder would win for sure.

He lands that right hand on everyone....it's not coincidence at this point
Wilder faced two of the top 5 hws in the last year and a half and put them down 5x
Stop acting like it's an accident

Being wrong about this isn't the end of the world. It just means you don't know boxing as well as you might think. AJ was always food for Wilder and at the end of the day I knew the fight wasn't going to happen until AJ feels he's ready.
I knew that.....
but not because of the Ruiz result
I knew that because they paid Parker 32.5%, but would only offer Wilder a flat fee.....
then, after Wilder accepted their below-market-value offer..... they refused to supply basic details, and inserted ridiculous last-minute roadblocks into the contract.....
NOT the way to make a top fight
it was pretty obvious imho
At toffee yea fake people do switch sides like that lol.ive been a deontay fan since day one and if he ever loses I'll still be a fan.people show love to they favorite athlete when they winning but when times get rough they abandon them smdh
Exactly how I feel, the power of Wilder will just be too much and he’s not masterful enough to avoid getting hit. But listen boxing is not always straight up and down when it comes to fight outcomes. We’ve seen guys get KO’d by mediocre punchers and go on to survive against bigger punchers.
Isn’t that what builds the fight in you , you can’t wait for it
It’s like I get a fughin speedball leading up to the fights
That rush you get , especially if your part of the fight week
Ahhh fugh then your guy loses and you go home and bang your wife like you just won that fight
That’s what gets my blood going , anyone’s gotta puncher’s chance and that makes it worthwhile
I always believed that Joshua would beat Wilder
This was cemented into my brain by his fight with Wladimir
I thought he was the more sound boxer and would deal with Wilder
Not anymore , not because I believe Wilder is the better boxer but Joshua won’t tolerate that fughin power
Very simple , non toxic , self efficient
And Fury , well I believe Wilder understood after that fight , that you can’t headhunt for the whole fight
Going for the ko and the whole fight passed him by
Was lucky to get those two knockdowns
Showed me differently against Brazeale
Hoping he learnt something
