Respect, bro. I hear ya. I knew nothing about Ruiz, my twin said he was legit and would do better than everyone thought. But we both hated that he came in so heavy. I hate the “I came in heavy in case he leaned on me” line. We will never know if he truly added fat or muscle. But after this win, I still hope he comes in lighter and not heavier in his next fight.

I didn't give Ruiz a serious chance but I did say that if he's gonna win it will be by catching Joshua with something big. The thing that made me think this wasn't probable though is the fact that Ruiz didn't seem to be a big puncher to me so I wasn't sure he could hurt Joshua. He proved me wrong clearly and I'm happy for the man. Joshua was very sloppy and he definitely showed lack of fundamentals and basic head movement, but I wouldn't count him out just yet, maybe he was going through something outside of the ring and was distracted, which is the way it seemed during fight week at least to me, so we should see him in there with Ruiz once more first.
