I'll explain in detail, if you disagree that's fine, but this is my take.
1.) Wilder came in extremely light and was like 50 pounds lighter, that's an extremely huge advantage, despite this, he was still able to seriously hurt Fury.
2.) Wilder has the speed and the length to jab Fury to the body, and hurt him to the body. Fury has great movement but I think Wilder is quick enough to catch him to the body and put rounds in the bank.
3.) Fury despite what he says will undoubtedly fight more cautiously this time around and Wilder will be at his optimum weight of about 225 pounds or more. This will open up a lot more opportunities for Wilder.
4.) Fury sacrifices power for being mobile and having the ability to punch off angles and being evasive. Which against literally other heavyweight imo would spell victory for Fury. I say this because I don't believe he can really deter a heavier Wilder without sitting down on his punches and that spells disaster. Outside of a hail mary punch I don't see him seriously hurting Wilder either, while we know the opposite is obviously true.
Thank you for writing this. I really appreciate reading posts from the thinking boxing fans of Deontay Wilder.
I get so tired of the other style of Wilder fans who simply swear a lot and repeat the “how can you not win when you knock the other guy down twice” thing...
Great post, and very well explained.
How is the guy who just beat the #1 not #1 ? Aha ok I get it, NSB logic right. Damn their was me thinking of applying sense. I think I’m due another sabbatical from this place.
It's speculation of course but there can't really be too much debate about it at this point. It has to go:
1. Fury
2. Wilder
3. Ruiz
4. AJ
5. Whyte
Just based on résumé and who's beaten who.
Beating Joshua is far more impressive than beating Wilder.
No its not lol. Wilder is better than Joshua, and would knock him spark out if they ever got in the ring.
Sorry to break it to you, but AJ just isn't that good, or isn't anymore.
These AJ fans lol, I bet there was a big queue outside JD Sports this morning so all the matchroom casuals could return their Under Armour tracksuits.
No it won't. It is and it will always be a draw. Whoever wins the rematch gets the bragging rights on both fights.
True unbiased fans? You wouldn't know anything about that. Your picture provides plenty of evidence of that.
No it will always be an unofficial Fury win, fans have long memories.
No, fury should be no1 he's been there a long time so we know no1 is something that suits fury. Ruiz just arrived and may lose next fight.
Let being champ be his reward and first Mexican champ.
Fury barely won rounds by amount of punches landed against wilder you could say. But if you add overall boxing skills in those rounds into equation each round, fury won rounds much easier, displaying more versatility. Floyd didn't land much more than opponents. Just Floyd s opponents missed much. Just like wilder did.
Ruiz just dominated Joshua and knocked him down four times.
Fury was knocked down twice and was a split second away from being knocked down.
Beating Joshua is far more impressive than beating Wilder and Fury didn't even beat Wilder, even if many thought he deserved to.
Ruiz earned the right to be rated #1 at the weight.
It will always go down as an unofficial win to Fury. True unbiased fans like me know whats up.

Never forget that Fury was robbed blind against Wilder despite not being fit.
A fit and motivated Fury is levels above everyone else.
Fury wasn't robbed. The one scorecard was unbelievably terrible because Wilder wasn't winning. We all agree. On the other card Fury was up 7-4 going into the 12th. He'd have won if he didn't get careless and get knocked down.
Kudos to him for getting up but that judge had it 7-5 Fury in rounds but a draw because he lost 2 rounds by 2 points.
So now you want to use an Internet poll as proof that Fury won?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
According to the people who count, it was a draw. According to a straw press poll of ringside reporters as soon as the fight ended there was no majority victor (6 Fury, 5 Draw, 3 Wilder). No robbery, simply a draw. Deal with it because that's the official record is the only thing that counts. Anything else is just baby tears.

"poll of ringside reporters" lmfao.
You mean Fat Dan? He's the biggest laughing stock in boxing. As for Haymon's paid off "judges" don't make me laugh
Wilder lost according to 90% of the boxing world. Find me a single poll on the internet that scored the fight to Wilder? Just one. You'll be wasting your time tho, there isn't any.
Even the post fight poll on here was 80-20 in Fury's favour, and this site is dominated by fat yanks.
Fury is levels above the bum Wilder and will prove it once again when he shuts him out in the rematch. Easy work.

Fury is clearly no.1 and has improved alot since he got a gift decision agaisnt essex plumber big John Mcdermott, but lets not kid ourselves, this HW era is absolutely trash. Fury schooling Wilder doesnt mean much when Gerald ****ing washington was schooling him and was 5-0 up before he got windmilled out of there, an OAP cuban on high blood medication was schooling him.
AJ was always a manufactured hype job who would of never been champion if Tyson Fury didnt go on a coke bender. Thank god we have prospects like Hrgovic, Dubois & Ajagba coming through. in 3 years time we should actually have a half decent HW division again.
Floyd bet money on the fight so isn't unbiased in his scoring. Fury DID lose to a fat midget but the ref robbed D Cup. Fury used roids
The only person on roids is AJ, the guy is juiced up the gills and only an idiot would claim otherwise, it's a shame he's still rubbish on them.
And I'll take the Judges and a poll of the ringside reporters over Mayweather's or yours.
And the Judges are the ones that count, loser.

The greatest fighter of this generation also scored the fight to Fury. I'll take Floyd Mayweather's opinion over yours.

Yet a spot poll of ringside scorers at the time did not have either guy with a majority of voters. In short, it was not a clear-cut decision. Next time your boy will need to land more than 80 punches to win. That kind of paltry output does not win belts.
The greatest fighter of this generation also scored the fight to Fury. I'll take Floyd Mayweather's opinion over yours.
What are you even talking about lmao...!!!??
Stating facts. Fury would never lose to fat midget like Ruiz.
I have Fury ranked about 6 or 7. Fury fans said he was out of shape, not ready for the best heading into the Wilder fight so I believe them and don't rate him highly. No credit for roids-infused win over Wlad. After the Wilder fight they also said he needed more work before an immediate rematch and he only feels confident vs Schwarz level. Possible the 12th round vs Wilder gave him PTSD. Has he confirmed the rematch yet or still looking for a loophole in the contract?
Fury didn't need PEDS to beat Wilder or Wlad, he's levels above both of them. As for the rest of the lies you posted, LOL
Maybe but the way this generation is shaping up it’s not a particularly strong generation is, Wilder being outboxed by every man and his dog before landing the Hail Mary, Fury getting sparked by would be NFL player with zero skill yet a punch and Joshua losing to the Mexican/Greek demigod himself Andy Hercules.
It doesn’t paint a great picture on second thoughts does it.
This is HW boxing, people get dropped, no big deal. Ali was dropped by journeymen, it is what it is.
The real winner if all these except Ruiz is...Parker. The only man that beat Ruiz jr. who beat Joshua.
Parker looked pretty much done after 2 losses in England. Now is he straight in the mix.
You should be happy Scott. Your man Wlad lost to the best HW of his generation. It's better for his legacy.

If you think Andy Ruiz beats Tyson Fury then YDKSAB.
Fury plays with Ruiz, I doubt he'd land a clean punch all night.
