Why are these Fox cards more competitive than on paper?

People keep calling it mismatches when originally announced but they all turned into competitive and very entertaining fights except for Garcia Are all these guys choking infront of the biggest audience in boxing? No. When it comes to fights with Haymon fighters, posters are just over negative for a number of reasons. They claim to be boxing fans but they badmouth any fight on sho or fox because they have an agenda. Jrock said it best last night- fans need to stop writing fighters off after they take a loss. Everyone assumed this would be easy for Hurd because charlo knock led jrock out. Those of us that bird would win easy, like me, were just wrong.

Feed cut out in the 11th and didn't come back until the last minute of the 12th. ... which actually happened... :) (but I found an alternative stream...)

I mean PPV doesn't just mean good fights. PPV is either two big names going at it or one star name fighting on it. The best FOTY types of fights usually aren't on PPV. In the last ten years, how many FOTY winners came on PPV?That's very true. Most evenly matched fights on Pay Per View turn out being duds. Most of the times, they don't even live up to the hype. However, this time as a non pay per view event; It was different. Even though it wasn't billed as a Pay Per View fight, it delivered great entertainment and fireworks for sports fans who may not even like boxing. This was a David vs Goliath type of match up and David won. Going in hardly anybody gave Williams much of a chance but he shook up the world. This was easily the fight and upset of the year.

Great! Well that's terrific news. The U.K. Fans were in for a real treat tonight with this Pay Per View type fight of the year Main event PBC card. I mean PPV doesn't just mean good fights. Al Haymon not only knows how to make the best cards that showcase the future stars of boxing he also stacks the sport month after month like having Pacquiao-Thurman announced during tonight's event was brilliant by Haymon!

The same as the US commentators i believe. They were American. So Lennox as well? Thought you guys may have gotten Ray Flores, but he may be only doing the international PPV fights.

Porter-Ugas was always going to be competitive. Thurman-Lopez was more entertaining than some originally thought but Thurman was coming off a big lay off. Not THAT unexpected. Hurd-JRock to me the day it was announced was a hell of a match up. Harrison-Charlo another fight I was a lot higher than damn near anyone else. Just comes down to folks sleeping on the B-siders because they have a loss or two. But none of those fights or results surprised me. DSG blowing out Granados did surprise me though. Didn't expect that to happen. Didn't watch the LSC so can't comment on that but that was super trash to me on paper and there was a late replacement. I chose to watch the NBA All star weekend instead. Charlo v Korobov was also a close one Breazeale Didn't exactly blow away Negron either even though he got the stoppage

...isn't this a GOOD THING? Also the fact that people give up on guys like Tony Harrison and J Rock after they suffer defeats so when they work their way back to a big fight people write them off instantly :nonono:

People keep calling it mismatches when originally announced but they all turned into competitive and very entertaining fights except for Garcia Are all these guys choking infront of the biggest audience in boxing? people have been calling all of haymons fights "mismatches" for years...they never learn....its comical anyone is able to get away with still typing...im still seeing this stuff once a week, minimum, on here haymon has had tons of fights that were more entertaining than on paper...and he puts his guys in tough fights.....of course hes accused of the complete opposite of that by like 40 percent of this board
