If Porter is actually willing to face Spence, he should try to pick up that belt prior to the end of the year. If Pacquiao-Thurman has happened, Spence can try to get the winner also early next year. That way in the summer or end of 2020 Spence-Crawford could be a unification fight. Meanwhile Crawford can fight someone like Kell Brook lmao. But if Porter/Thurman want to dick around, Spence-Crawford should happen asap. More belts means more on the line and would make for a better fight. I'd go to Dallas to see that for sure.
