Crawford gets a TKO win over a shot Khan, who basically quit after a low blow. Bud was clearly on his way to a stoppage win at some point, but that was to be expected. What’s next for Bud? Maybe a career high payday across the pond to fight Brook, providing Brook doesn’t mind getting his eye socket broken again. Without a PBC opponent who is next?
Garcia did what he was supposed to do in this “tune up” fight. Stopped an out-gunned gatekeeper with six losses and two draws coming in. Insists “he’s baaaack”, but looking sharp against Granados told us nothing. What’s next for Danny? Possible rematches with either Thurman or Porter, both winnable fights for him given how close they were. Or another opportunity to fight PAC providing he doesn’t turn it down again.
López did what he was supposed to do as well, defeat another no-hoper to pad that record and bring him closer to what he hopes is a Loma payday. By the looks of it, he clearly isn’t ready, so for now it appears he is just using Loma’s name to elevate his social media presence and market himself.
Anyone see something different?
.. Really????! After all the ass whoopings u still TALKING BOY!? *grabs baseball bat and hits your face with batting form* You hoe I TOLD YOU WHO I WAS, 7 years in this game, a veteran HAVE SOME RESPECT *takes out glock* *shakes uncontrollably* GTFOOO MY FACE BEFORE I CATCH A CASE ..
Hey lil bytch, you ain't never whipped nobodies ass, but that's some fantasy land you're living in. Lol
Again how pathetic is your life when you consider your status on an obscure boxing web page a lifetime achievement. Too funny
Only a total douche bag (like you) would consider time spent on an obscure boxing message board as a lifetime achievement. Is your life really this pathetic?

Once Gennady is gone, this sport will die. And I will retire from it and this forum along with gennady.
We both had great careers, shared our primes together pretty much, I have cemented my legacy in BoxingScene but I am nearing the end of my prime like Gennady. Once Im gone this forum dies too.

Absolutely meaningless fights, just as I knew they would be. Crawford-Khan went exactly how I thought it would other than Khan not looking at stars at the end of the fight.
Another trash win for Crawford. It's becoming his signature.
And lol @ how many times the ESPN crew called Crawford P4P #1 when he is not even P4P#1 in the ESPN rankings!
Neither Crawford or Garcia had an opponent to test them enough that it sepeataged anyone from the pack at 147. I still have Spence and Crawford tied at top of the heap, but I’m not convinced Danny would do any better in rematches with Thurman or Porter, or that he could even beat a 40 year old PAC.
Commentary is getting worse too. Listening to Goosen and Lewis shining on the house fighters like good company men was cringe-worthy. Ward is too biased and inconsistent with his analysis.
I learned long time ago not to listen to the commentators. It is just professional cheerleading.
too many mismatches because promoters and fighters know they can still make bank with these low risk fights for their stars, they'll milk it to the end if they can. Real boxing fans should be excited for this upcoming week, the rematch between Sor Rungvisai and Gallo Estrada should be another FOTY candidate!
Granados has never been stopped so yea I was surprised.
And ever mark against him on his record is some degree of disputable except the Porter L iirc. Don't get me wrong I didn't see Granados as being much of a live dog vs Danny or anything like that, but I thought he'd go the distance & give a decent account of himself.
Your right , the guy was never knocked out
Just found he would be a bad matchup with Garcia
I just kept imagining Granados coming in and Garcia teeing off on him , figuring with his power he could do damage
I thought early ko or late , but always Garcia tagging him
Well said compa.
F.uck, compa, i can't wait, these little men always give us great fights with a lot of heart, skills and talent
They deserve more attention and money.
I buy a lot of ppvs. I didn't buy Crawford/Khan or Garcia/Spence, money grab fights that don't do anything for the sport. Either fight they were on a collision course, just two popular fighters facing each other.
Plus the undercards have been trash. More like a showcase than a decent match up. Now there are so many formats that you have to pay to watch that it is starting to add up.
This is the formula that can bring down the sport.

Yep, kind of a weekend when the outcomes were predictable.
Allen/Browne was probably the one that seemed the most in the balance before hand.
I'm looking forward to Donaire/Tete and Estrada/Rungvisai next weekend though.

Sor vs Estrada II is better than Canelo vs Jacobs, in my opinion.
Estrada and Sor are better fighter than Jacobs, that is a very good fighter but not better than Sor or Estrada.
Estrada looked in a very good shape this time, he thrown 1000 punches against Orucuta, people forgot that Estrada had multiple problems with surgeries in the last year.
Will be a great fight, but people is not putting attention on them.
In my opinion, too. I don't see anything so compelling about Canelo-Jacobs. I already know who will win.
This.
Allen stole the show this weekend. He's still pretty garbage, but he showed his less garbage than a ex-sorta kinda title holder in Browne.
And honestly I was surprised Danny stopped Adrian.
Bud & the rest did more or less as expected doe. But thats every week anyway so don't get the need to make a thread about this weekend like it wasn't just like the week before or the week before that & so on.
Biggest problem with boxing is still not enough evenly matched fights happen. Nothing new this week.
Really Eff , you were surprised with Garcia taking out Granados
I thought Adrian was tailor made for him
I just thought that , Granados being pretty tough , would get taken out in the championship rounds
Or Danny would get him out real early which almost happened

Dave Allen took out Browne with a quality left body hook on the short rib. Allen does some good things; he adds power to his right downward arcing hook punch with a setup. While walking forward in southpaw, he'll throw a left uppercut and rotate the hips to ortho - when he's set, his right hand is mid flight 50% of the distance to the target. smashes down with it hard.
Oh I get you, Sawing how it played out vs Garcia, Granados wasnt gonna win that fight no matter what, he had nothing to keep garcia off him.
Im saying just for future progression, granados should get a new trainer and polish up some bit.
A good point by lenox last night was, granados is still fresh he just cant take the power it shocks his system, granados pop'd up both time fresha nd ready like nothing it was just the punches he ate flush.
No , you kind of stumped me
Bottom line though is Granados is what he is
Maybe coming down in weight could help a little but still needs to fight with that kind of rushing style he has
He’ll be able to take the power better at a lower weight
Dave Allen proved that he's actually not garbage like I thought he was.
This was the single biggest thing really for me. Really enjoyed the matchroom card (gashi running a-side)
yeah cant teach em new tricks but can polish him, like Robert did with Maidana, he didnt really change Maidana but he polished him up. Taught him when to throw certain punches and when not to throw certain punches, if granados had a grasp on when not to throw certain punches last night he could have avoided the 2 KD and most of the damage.
Ahhhhh fugh me
Good point but not sure he can be polished
His game plan is to overwhelm his opponent, not sure he can really change that aspect of his game so leaning towards all the brushing up going out the window
Not sure if I’m making myself understood
