With Miller pissing hot it looks like Joshua will need someone else to fight on the 1st of June so who do you think he'll end up fighting?
My preferences are
1. Luis Ortiz
2. Kubrat Pulev
3. Adam Kownacki
Every Cuban boxer has the same problem in the US, people arn't interested in them. Lara and Rigo can't draw flies to a picnic and and neither can Ortiz. He went down like a lead balloon in the UK too.Which is very true because most Cuban Americans reside in the state of Florida. I know that Don King does a lot of local cards in the state of Florida but as whole boxing isn't very popular there and therefore does not have many boxing venues in the state.
No, Ortiz has had enough mainstream exposure in America. Besides there a lot of Spanish speaking people; Many of Cuban decent who resides in NYC.

Both of them suck. That's why he won't challenge the most dangerous American out there which is Luis Ortiz; Who is both fundamentally sound with a great amateur pedigree.
well no s%#t. money usually never matters. ortiz is as valuable to them as cancer.
Ortiz would be my first pick, but not being able to speak English might rule him out. Even Canelo doesn't sell well to English speaking Americans. No, Ortiz has had enough mainstream exposure in America. Besides there a lot of Spanish speaking people; Many of Cuban decent who resides in NYC.
quite possibly. but it might be more competitive than u think. or miller might have been less competitive than u think. because miller sucks. Both of them suck. Michael Hunter is too inexperienced and green. I was thinking along the lines of Luis Ortiz. He is an American citizen now though he is of Cuba descent.

Joshua would stomp kick the living shit of Adam Kownacki. He eats too many damn punches. In addition, his volume punching is too damn slow for AJ. He will see them coming a mile away. It would be batting practice for Joshua; He would turn Kownacki into a human punching bag.

... and Ortiz is listed as "VADA CBP enrolled"... :)Since he is currently ranked by the WBC I would say yes. VADA testing is mandatory for all top 15 WBC ranked contenders.
1. Luis Ortiz- he'd have time to prepare. plenty. no way joshua fights him.
3. Adam Kownaci- he's marketable. very. i would rather this than the original miller fight.Joshua would stomp kick the living shit of Adam Kownacki. He eats too many damn punches. Yes, Luis Ortiz. However, that's besides the point. The point is DAZN is not going to throw money at two Euros fighting on American soil.
John Skipper is a smart business man. That was the whole sales pitch to introduce AJ to America soil by fighting an American opponent with name recognition in the region, in order to help increase Joshua's profile stateside.
Luis Ortiz foots that bill just perfectly and beautifully.

- -How do we know Baby pissed hot when there is no transparency in drug testing and no end to new over the counter supplements?
GW1516, eh? Dr Pepper next?
Why the delay from a test near a month ago? Why not next year?
Where's the results for the Commish and judges and ref for this fight?
Where's BALCO Vic VADA test results an why are his vitamins the only legal ones?
And why boxing?
NFL/MLB/NBA and our thousands of politicians and business leaders get free passes.
Long may the beatings continue is it?
:dunno:
He's urine sample came back positive so he pissed hot.
There are no HWs with name recognition in the States. AJ himself doesn't have name recognition in the States!
An American opponent would obviously be the best bet to sell the fight in the US though. Maybe Hunter?Michael Hunter is too inexperienced and green. I was thinking along the lines of Luis Ortiz. He is an American citizen now though he is of Cuba descent.

did you check the HW ranking for a "credible American opponent" right now?... :)Yes, Luis Ortiz. However, that's besides the point. The point is DAZN is not going to throw money at two Euros fighting on American soil.

DAZN would never accept it. They would turn it down. Joshua needs a credible American opponent because he is fighting on American soil and in addition, he needs an opponent with name recognition in the states.

Yes, I've just been reading about that. With DAZN money available for this fight Dillian would certainly get a better offer than the one he turned down for the Wembley date, if they want him. They may decide that a US opponent is needed for AJ's US debut.
