At what weight class do you think he should make his return?
I say super middlweight first just for the first fight and then try to drop down to the 154 class after that.

He looked like expect him, slow, big thighs, out of breath but still able to hit the bag with good power, I think he needs another 3 months of training and dieting.
Agreed, he shouldn't and can't go to 147 after the long lay off. I think 154 from 186 (From the pictures) sounds like a plan. Thats 30 odd pounds he has to shift. Does he even have a fight date yet?
No official fight date yet, the original target was early summer but I don't think the weight is coming off as fast as planned.
Hopefully by the end of summer.
He can fight a nobody up there just to get the five year rust off. Maybe two fights above 154 first.

Can't see this working out well. In his PRIME he was decent but not amazing by any stretch. Now, he's past-prime, after a long layoff, and supposed to face much bigger guys? Hope he plays it safe.
I have a similar opinion, when Chino relied on his natural ability he was a solid B level fighter on his best day, it took him a lot of schooling to be able to compete at the highest level when he started training with Robert Garcia. After such a long layoff, fighters go back to what they know best and all the schooling he got is long forgotten and out of his muscle memory. Noway he can get that back after such a long layoff at 35 years old.
Why did he retire in the first place? in his prime threw away millions.
been in a number of wars and the total earnings from mayweather fights goes a looong way in Argentina. probably didn't spend it wisely which could be why he's back.

Damn, he still has almost 40 pounds to go. He'll be weakened by all this sudden weight lost focused on mainly cutting weight abruptly. The body has to gradually adapt and assimilate the new weight.
If i get the Broner or Khan rematches i'll be happy. ideally he does well enough to get a crack at Pacman or Thurman next year but i'm not too sure. Still pissed he retired after the Floyd fights, he would have been in good fights with Porter, Thurman, Brook, Garcia etc.
No muscle tone at all. I wonder what it is he plans on achieving.....Besides making money.
TBF, he was never a muscular build even in his prime. He had that natural gifted power
Definitely 154. Those guys at 160 and 168 are way too big for him.
I agree with this. Judging from the pictures he is still carrying a lot of excess and could even boil back down to 147. The weight is coming off well.
