I can treat you like a child if that's what you want.
Terrence Crawford has this thing called a "promoter". His promotional company, Top Rank, has TV rights with specific television broadcasting stations, namely ESPN.
So, no, Terrence Crawford cannot just "go to FOX/SHO" as you suggest. Terrence is contractually bound to fight with T.R. and at the moment Top Rank is not doing any FOX/SHO fights. Do you understand that?
Errald Spencer fights with an "advisor" which is NOT the same thing as a "promoter". When you use an "advisor" there is no legal document requiring X, Y, or Z. Spencer could actually do a 1-fight with Top Rank, DAZN, Lou Dibella, ZANFER, etc. and face zero penalty of any kind.
So, yes, Errald can actually just "go to ESPN/Top Rank" and fight whenever he wants.
Terrence Crawford put promotions aside and offered Danny "Sweetbitch" Garcia $3m + PPV to fight. Danny is not bound to any promoter although he does use PBC as an advisor. Danny did not take the fight.
Amir Khan is a free agent, like Danny Garcia/Shawn Porter/Keith Thurman/Errald Spencer. However, unlike all of those guys Amir Khan actually wanted to fight. That is why Khan will earn $5m + PPV on Saturday night.
Historically Crawford has NEVER, EVER, ducked a single fighter. He's fought them all and has been public about his desire to fight Errald Spencer, Thurman, Danny, and Porter. None of those guys wants that fight though.
And, specifically, it was Errald Spencer who famously tweeted "some fighters are on the wrong side of the street". That was Errald Spencer suggesting a fight between himself and Terrence Crawford could NOT happen because Errald would only fight PBC guys.
Some fighters just on the wrong side of the street — Errol Spence (@ErrolSpenceJr) July 29, 2018
This isn't Russia or China. Terrence can't make people fight him. They have to sign on and it's especially pathethic since they have no promoter to hide behind...it's an advisor.
And this whole "my side/your side" joke...Spencer hasn't fought 1 single PBC opponent that isn't a Lightweight. And he's been PBC for years. It's pathethic. And you, as a fan, are pathetic for not only supporting it, but defending it too. Shame on you :tool:
Do you understand?
Um, so let's see where we should start.
Crawford has a deal with Top Rank, correct. Does he have an exclusive deal with ESPN? Can he not fight outside of ESPN? If he signed THAT type of deal, then he was never serious about fighting any of the PBC WWs. I mean you mention he has a deal with TR that does business with ESPN, what networks does Haymon do business with? Is Haymon putting on shows on ESPN that I don't know of? Don't confuse a promotional deal with an exclusive network deal. So answer this, does Crawford have an exclusive network deal with ESPN yes or no?
Ah I see, Spence should just go to ESPN here eh? Just that simple right? Haymon should send his top star or at least top 2-3 star to ESPN just because he is his advisor only and not his promoter right? Ha! Hilarious.
Arum is talking about wanting a Co-PPV for Spence/Crawford. How many buys do you think that fight does? How many Co-PPVs have we seen in the past? Ask yourself, is this fight even close enough to the other prior cases we have seen?
Tell me what leverage Crawford or his side have here, especially if the Khan PPV does less buys than Spence/Garcia? Majority of the options for Crawford are with the PBC, and if his PPV does worse than Spence/Garcia and even possibly quite worse, what could he do? Spence still has big enough fights to keep him busy for another two years, can the same be said for Crawford?
But let's use another fight that is being talked about, Lomachenko vs Davis. If Davis side was to tell Arum they will fight, but only on a Co-PPV, would you be okay with that? Would you be fine with Davis, who is the clear B-side, saying the fight only happens if it is a Co-PPV? Are every damn fight between PBC/TR going to be a Co-PPV from now on?
Now to circle back to Crawford and his TR deal, if it is indeed an exclusive deal to ONLY fight on ESPN, then simply put he made his bed. He was perfectly fine with the scenario of being shutout in the future and missing out on the top WWs. I mean it is what it is, I guess like he said, he wouldn't lose any sleep with not fighting the PBC WWs since he is making a great living for his family. And who am I to begrudge the man for that? Fighting the likes of Khan/Collazo/Mean Machine the rest of his prime for HUGE money? Not bad, not bad at all.
I can treat you like a child if that's what you want.

Good post.
When did Crawford do the "network excuse"?
That was Errald Spencer.
Are you high, boy?
And here's Terrence letting lil Errald know who run it
He used Jacobs as an example and I said like Jacobs, will Crawford take the network excuse out of it and go to FOX/SHO? There is no network excuse if Crawford makes the jump for that fight.
So will he do that? Or will he let his promoter act like this is some huge mega 2+ million PPV type of fight where both networks will work together in making?
This retard HarvardBlue compares Wilder v Joshua with Spencer v Crawford
In one sense you have a Windmiller with a resume of Cabbies against the Lineal HW Champ
In another sense you have sparring hero Errald Spencer against the #1 PFP fighter in the world
Those fights are nothing alike.
One is a chess match and one is an exploration into CLEAN ENERGY A LA WINDMILLSY'all gotta come up with some better material. Maybe you should have your friends look it over before you put it out for the world to see. I'm assuming you have friends. Errald Spencer??. That's just lazy. Im sure you spent plenty of time to come up something and that's what you come up with? Now I gotta waste my time responding to this BS.
Regis Prograis, in my opinion, wins the WBSS to get the WBA/IBF/WBC 140lb belts, with Ramirez having to fight him to still be called champion, and Regis is with DiBella.
Mario Barrios is coming along, Mikey Garcia is soon to be at the weight, Baranchyk is also with DiBella, and that's before you start talking about Broner and Figueroa Jr (who should both be at 140lbs) or the vets/prospects still in the mix.
Give it 12 months
Regis Prograis is not affiliated with PBC and has never fought on one of their shows. Trying to attribute him to PBC is complete and utter nonsense especially when his last fights have been on ESPN and DAZN. Same for Baranchyk. After the fiasco of the Wilder meeting with DAZN we don't even know if Dibella still is a promoter that PBC utilizes. No one gives a **** about Figueroa and Broner is a has been who never did **** at 140 besides receiving a gift vacant title against some Russian who never fought again and punching Ashley Theophane in the nuts on Spike TV. All the belts have zero connection to PBC and that wont change 12 months from now.
What hold does PBC have at 140? Prograis, Barachyk, Ramirez, Hooker, and Taylor are all the top guys at 140 with all the belts and they are all under promotional contracts and do not fight under PBC or have management agreements with Haymon.

In all honesty for it looks like Crawford will have to pull the best of 140 to make fights. Taylor, Hooker(I know they're friends), and Prograis would all be credible wins against large 140 pounders that could all easily fight at 147. Same for Ramirez. Ugas would be a great win, we all know he is better than Porter and possibly Garcia. Danny is a name but I would bet all of my points that Ugas beats him just like he beat Porter.
Ugas is a good fighter no doubt, but Garcia is a bigger name and I bet TR prefers him. Ugas vs Garcia is a very competitive fight as was the Ugas vs Porter and Garcia vs Porter fights.
Pulling up 140 pounders is what probably happens, but that's why I mentioned Ramirez. Unless Arum wants to set Ramirez up for Lopez, it makes a lot of sense. This is a fight Arum has mentioned in the past.
Crawford vs Prograis would definitely be good if Prograis wins the WBSS tournament. Heck, Prograis vs Ramirez would be good as well.
Arum will have to get creative if Crawford is unable to get the PBC WWs. If he is, obviously then he will be fine. LIS, if I'm Team Crawford, I'm circling back to the DSG talks and trying to give them an offer they can't refuse and go from there. And if they can't get DSG, then go after Ugas. There is some amateur history between Crawford and Ugas I believe.

Ramirez don't want that work. Maybe Prograis if they make him a good offer. If Prograis wins the tournament it would be good for Crawford to fight him.

Definitely a fight we can soon or maybe Arum serves up Ramirez to Crawford late 2020.

Never been impressed with Ramirez. I Think Lopez has a chance of beating him in an nonstop action fight. Ramirez is a big guy though and we will see how Lopez's power translates at 140.

Yeah, Haymon definitely doesn't control 140. I'm guessing he is including Prograis who is with Dibella, but he's not signed to Haymon.
140 is legitimately all scattered around. And besides, Lopez will be jumping up to 140 soon for TR.

I don't care, tbh.
What's painfully clear though is that Al Haymon and his affiliated parties basically have control of 147/154 and a really good hold of 140 now, and if Terence Crawford is going to get the chance to see if the hype actually measures up, Bob Arum is going to have to shift the way he does business.
Tim Bradley did great for his family, and just might turn into being a really good announcer; no one is going to remember him as a good fighter.
Terence Crawford is set to be Tim Bradley sans Pacquiao fights if Bob Arum does the same business.

I mean it is clear he will have to go straight to Haymon. The Angel thing didn't work and when you give Khan around 6M, you better come with that same type of offer for DSG.
There are some rumors of Lipinets vs Ugas taking place later this year. Good fight no doubt, but don't see the sense of that fight taking place. Would make more sense to same one of them for DSG who will be without a top opponent with Spence/Porter/Thurman/Pacman all locked up.
If Mikey does stay at 147 and I think there is a chance he will, then he's going to want one of the top guns like DSG. He's not going to be fine with fighting someone like Alexander/Berto, not at his age and him not wanting to stay for much longer. So if DSG gets by Granados, he will be in a great spot. Either make TR offer crazy money or push for the Mikey fight which will be another great payday and still a big fight despite what Spence did to Mikey.
Lipinets-Ugas seems like a perfect fight for the next IBF mandatory, tbh.(if things go the way they seem set to)
Would rather they offer that money to Porter or make an offer to Ugas.
I don't care, tbh.

spence is going to get his ass whooped. crawford has him beat everywhere except power and crawford ain't no light hitter either
No one is getting their ass whooped in that fight. Don't be a fool. That's a legitimate GREAT competitive fight.
When and where? so no PAC fight lol
I mean it's already been reported the plan is for Spence/Porter around September time.
Pacquiao will likely fight Thurman next.
