I'm not saying Khan belongs on the top 10 P4P list or anything but people are treating him like a total bum now for some reason. Lest we forget this guy was an olympic silver medalist who has 9 former world champions on his resume. I'm not saying he'll beat Crawford but he will definitely give him more of a fight than Garcia did Spence. The closer this fight gets the more i'm actually looking forward to it. You got two guys with great speed and skills. It should be an entertaining fight and Khan will probably win some rounds and make it competitive.
Khan was grossly over-rated. He passes the eyeball test but doesn't beat the top in the division.
His best win is Maidana were he wobbled to victory.
Entertaining, yes. But his mouth doesn't do him any favors.
Name me some of his best wins. It seems you have no idea how good a career hes had.
Why would I be the one naming his best win for you? Aren’t the one who is meant to do that to convince me that he has had a great career?

Hell NOOOOOO. When you talk as much shyttte as Khan you’ll get treated like that. He himself said his sparring partners are better than Bum Vargas and that Bum gave him a lot of trouble. He even said he purposedly get KD. Wtf seriously???!!
I gave up on Khan a long time ago. He hasn’t back up any of his talks for years now and he is easily one, if not the most facepalming guy right now in boxing.
Well technically he should do better than Garcia did against spence as he and crawford are of the same fkn weight. Not two classes below.
At least garcia survived against spence, im sure khan wouldn’t.
i'd say his current reputation is pretty equal to his performance and the expectations we all have.
He's about 10 years past his prime by now and was dropped by a journeyman in his last fight.
I think Khan is both overrated and underrated. He does look good at times when he's boxing his opponent but his defense does suck and not too many people notice that because of how good he looks in the ring. His chin maybe is underrated. I think he can take a punch more than what people give him credit for. But overall, I think I might have overrated him a bit too.
Tim Bradley ruined his career if he didn't duck him Amir wouldn't have been robbed against Peterson and he wouldn't have taken the Garcia fight
So you have to blame Bradley for his loses to Peterson and Garcia? What's next? Blame Floyd or Manny for his loss to Canelo?
Cool sounds like some good experience. You're either very biased (favoring Khan) or don't pick on things watching fights.
As you've suggested Khan is very poor at changing things within rounds or even in between rounds.
A+ for heart and effort though. The dude comes off as dumb in MANY interviews and it might be that he is legitimately dumb. It's a real possibility
I read my post & it comes across as biased for Khan but in all actuality, he annoys the hell out of me.
I expect Bud to put on a masterclass boxing/punching clinic on Khan.
I've been with Bud since day 1.
Khan has fought good competition for the most part but he is delusional and full of himself.
I'm on the same page as you are brother!!
Khan is an amazing fighter to watch at his best. It’s just his chin is so bad, in my eyes Khan hasn’t lost a fight where he hasn’t got knocked out. The Peterson fight was bs in my eyes. Firstly Khan shouldn’t have had points deducted and more importantly it should’ve been an nc. Khan won’t beat tc but Khan will win the early rounds and some posters will use that as a way to discredit bud and they really shouldn’t
You don't understand boxing so I get why you would think like you do.
Having a chin matters in boxing, but it's not the most important thing.
The reason Khan is an average fighter now is he can't adjust/think on the fly. He has tunnel vision in the ring and doesn't adapt to what his opponent is doing...especially if the opponent can make adjustments (and start to TIME the speedier Khan). That's what happened versus Swift Garcia (dude wasn't even looking when he threw the punch), Ca$hnelo, and in spots versus other fighters.
Gotta be able to think in the ring and Khan canNOT do that. Chin or not he would've been exposed like he has been for being a limited, speedy fighter
He does have those lapses in concentration that are costly and coupled with that chin, you have a recipe for disaster.
Now on the not understanding boxing part, I fought in Silver Gloves & Golden Gloves, and I trained Golden Gloves fighters for 12 years so I have a decent understanding of the game.
No! What has he actually achieved in the pro game? He was meant to be a skilled amateur going into the pro rank with a silver from the Olympic at 17. The Olympic brought him instant star status in the UK fair enough, but since he turned pro he has been a huge disappointment IMHO.
Name me some of his best wins. It seems you have no idea how good a career hes had.
resume=wins manNo it does not. All I am saying is that a resume can be counted as a variable for the lack of notable wins on Amir Khan's resume.
Throughout Amir Khan's career he has fought the very best competition out there and it's partially the reason why he has several losses on his record. For one, he wasn't afraid of taking risks and never ducked anyone.
I will say this; At least two of the four losses on his record were largely due to Khan's own recklessness and undoing. He was the favorite to win against both Breidis Prescott, Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia but he underestimated them all and it ended up costing him in the long run.
As far as Lamont Peterson is concerned; He fought the fight of his life. The fight was close and could have gone either way.
Against Saul Canelo Alvarez he didn't stand a chance. That should be the only loss on his resume. He was the underdog coming in and wasn't expected to win unlike in his previous three losses.
Perhaps, it was Devon Alexander. However, by no means am I underrating or underestimating his résumé. He has one of the best résumés of any active fighter today from Marco Antonio Barrera, Zab Judah, Danny Garcia, Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander, Saul Canelo Alvarez, Lamont Peterson, Paulie Malignaggi, Chris Algieri, Luis Collazo to Andreas Kotelnik.

Khan was definitely elite at JWW. He was #1 at the weight class at one time. Whether he is elite at WW will have to be seen on 4/20. Crawford is the best P4P fighter in the world but Khan has the style and the skills to test him.
Khan lacks the intelligence to be elite, he throws the same combos over and over, does not adjust his speed and that is why he gets timed. No head movement and his lateral movement is subar.. When he throws flurries he drops his hands and his chin is in the air and he comes in straight lines...The guy is just a dumb boxer who thinks he is better then what he is
insult me all you want but Khan is trash and has never and will never be elite..it is 2019..the guy last held a title when???? another beating is coming for him and a new excuse i guess

No, it's not that people are underrating him it's that he is not the same fighter that he was 7 or 8 years ago. Since that time he has shown signs of decline and slippage. At 32, his body is just not the same as he has aged for the worse.
and even before then his best win was .............??????
The word is "accept" you illiterate moron. Maybe you should actually respond to the content of my post instead but I doubt you're smart enough to do that.
