I laughed when ppl suggested Floyd vs Mcgregor was gonna happen so I guess I shouldn't doubt this being made it will still do over 1mill ppv buys easily and after spence and wilders last numbers being average at best showtime will be wanting this and dangling a big carrot in front of floyd he might be tempted
yeah, but there was talks of floyd fighting conor already prior to when they finally announced it.
as for this rematch with manny, there has been zero talks from mayweather's side or pacquiao. all manny says is that he still wants it. but there is nothing on floyd's side to suggest that a rematch is gonna happen.
Interesting, Barbosa deleted this tweet this monring even after responding to people's comments about it. So what I can decipher from this is that he had to have been told to take it down, why? Pretty obvious I think, Mayweather's team probably didn't want any info leaked, they want to be the ones to announce it, why else would he take it down? He must have been told to take it down. So I think personally the fight is on.
It's silly when people say they don't want to see it, who else should these guys who have proven everything fight? Whether you think Pacs injury effected the outcome is up to you, but it is an interesting angle. I personally think there was some effect, just due to the lack of punches pacquiao was throwing. Mayweather clearly won the fight but he wasn't landing hard shots to keep Pac off of him, so it was weird to not see Pac throwing, especially after watching those silly slow motion moments of the match where a lot of bigger punches we thought landed for Floyd didn't actually land, yet Pacquiao was still so inactive.
So I am excited, I think at their age and with Floyds movement slowed down we could actually potentially have an action packed fight.
Floyd ran out of money?
There's literally no reason he should be fighting Pacquiao again, other than money.
It's funny cos they're both in their 40s and still the biggest fight there is.
I feel the same, I saw Floyd in a skit a few weeks back and his body is very soft, I cannot see him going through one of his grueling training camps for a real fight, beating a guy he already beat offers no motivation and Floyd would need a lot of motivation to box again.
For me Floyd is done in boxing and wont return to the ring.
You're seriously wondering what possible motivation "Money" Mayweather would have?

no chance. i honestly believe floyd is done with boxing. he might come out and fight some mma fighter but a pro boxer? no way.

Wouldn't Mayweather normally want to announce this?
Being the person he is?
I would be surprised honestly if it happens again, but i want to see it, i hope they fight again
Showtime gotta get some budget, Mayweather to the rescue
What would Mayweather have to do with the SHO budget?
Espinoza already explained the money they make from big PPVs isn't just thrown into the boxing budget, but it is used to pay other SHO expenses as well. He said people think that all the money we made from the Mayweather and McGregor/Pacquiao fights go straight to the boxing budget and they are badly mistaken.
Man I hope not.time for you guys to leave boxing alone.in a couple of years Floyd want be the face of boxing anymore.it will either be deontay a.j Crawford or spence
