Please tell me how he's going to do it,
he's a lot smaller, shorter reach,
how's he gonna close the distance and not get tee'd off on?
Is he an inside brawler all of a sudden now?
i don't see it happening, please convince me how he's going to do it
It's funny because all the "flaws" people pointing out in spence are literally Mikey Garcia.
Fighters who can move up in weight like this have special traits. Speed. Power. Chin. Size.
Mikey has none of those. Hes a very good boxer. That's it. People saying spence is slow or flat footed have never watched Mikey fight. Dude is literally the definition.
That's a very good plan but the only problem is Spence is very fast and punches incredibly hard and takes a hell of a punch. His static head can handle Mikey's best punches and Mikey's giant head won't be able to take Spence's punches so Mikey will get knocked out. Spence might score the KO with body punches but either way Mikey is getting knocked out. I am a Spence fan, not a Mikey fan but I couldn't stay away from any Mikey vs Spence thread. I like telling everyone Spence will win. I could be wrong but I am not worried about it at all.
Spence has average speed. But we will see.
Spence isn't very fast. He fights coming forward. His wide punches leave his static head open for counters.
From the videos, it looks like Mikey plans to use a lot of lateral movement, and defense, to outbox Spence. That's a very good plan but the only problem is Spence is very fast and punches incredibly hard and takes a hell of a punch. Control range and tempo, make em miss and make em pay, Set up traps and drop them bombs when he falls for the traps, kill em on the inside when he tries, keep the jab in his face, Easy Night!
War Mikey!
Was following you up until this point. You are a fool if you believe that.
Crazy fight to make imo I honestly don’t get it, for me it seems as though it’s about elevating the status of Spence that said Mikey schooled Broner who isn’t no midget he’s elusive enough to avoid taking major damage don’t mrajb he won’t be stopped though.
Not a fight I was mad for certainly don’t want to see a loser, both are top ten p4p and I enjoy watching both.
The only way I can think that Mikey will win is if he knows, like absolutely KNOWS, he's got 7 or 8 rounds in the bag then he'll coast and let Spence win the other rounds. A Mikey win scenario is Mikey winning the first 2/3s of the fight then running the last leg of the fight as Spence panics and tries to pour it on. This is not a scenario I see happening though.
Spence is VERY predictable. He gets away with it cause he’s so big and strong. Garcia has to exploit this. Fight when it’s his advantage. No exchanging. Spence is too strong. Garcia has to SPRINT 12 rounds. Give a master boxing exhibition. Watch Mayweather vs Corrales.
I now believe Garcia is innately too aggressive to do this, but I’d love for him to prove me wrong.
I already wrote the script for this one: Mikey feels out Spence's power in the first, then if he feels it might be too much he will get on the bike and ride it for a few rounds tagging Spence and making him miss power punches until he gets tired. Then Mikey gets off the bike and starts working Spence.
or Mikey gets KO'd in 4th.

Huh? Spence, wide? Smh.
