There would be a rematch clause for sure, that standard protocol really though
sure...rematch clause is fair....but prob on the platform of charlos choice if hes the champ...
but im willing to bet theyd let charlo go over there for the initial fight if DAZN was willng to make a fair deal without keeping charlo on an option.....so that's prob not a tough fight to make if it comes to that....ive already heard rumors about canelo dropping that belt if charlo is enforced...why? he can easily get him over there for the fight
Charlo "I gotta speak to Al"
For Charlo this should be an easy decision.
1: More money
2: Better competitionMaybe Charlo doesn't want better competition. Kook at his weak middleweight competition so far.
ask eddie hearn and john skipper this
would they be willing to put a charlo/canelo fight on their app with a fair deal for both sides if THEY DIDNT have an option on charlo after? ask them that and check for their answer
cause im willing to be al would get charlo over on their app for that fight.....but would they do it without futures on charlo? thats the million dollar question

i just want those people to be fair and stop complaining about al when they cheer on the same things at other networks/companies.....
but its always the same group...the pac/ggg/aj fans...always with the double standards...."smart business" is ok when it applies to their favorites...when it goes the other way the other side is "ruining boxing"
^ One of the most one-sided and biased posters on the forum crying out for people to be more fair and even-handed. :pat:
i hear ya...i dont disagree with ya
but golovkin stayed right where he was and continued crushing cans at 2 mil a pop and everyone bought his "ducking" claims......he just stayed the course and eventually he got the fight
risk is something everyone in boxing has to take/make...yeah its not smart business to risk your top fighters in one offs...but everyone forgets they cry about al haymon keeping his WWs in house...which is the same lines.....even though he has a bunch of good fights that hes made and still cant make....

Well, GGG was can crushing be being fair, the division isnt what it is now. Bjs said he wasnt ready and Quillin didnt want it at all and thats why no one knows when his next fight is...lost once and it all came crashing down. He eventually did fight Jacobs but for a bit, Lemieux was indeed a good fight in that current landscape. He was supposed to fight Pirog but Pirog’s career ended, and Sergio was never going to happen, nor was Cotto.
Charlo has about 4-5 REALLY good fights that he’s *not* favored to win that don’t include Canelo. And say what you will about the comparison between al and the WWs and DAZN.
They already had Andrade/BJS lined up at one point that fell apart and made Jacobs/Canelo. They’re not skipping the tough fights and to top it off, after they fight, the top 3 at 160 will have all fought each other.
At WW it’s just Spence and Crawford not doing anything there to better their cause AND one of those people involved there is Arum. Thurman, Danny, and Porter have all fought each other and have been involved in big fights outside if that.
Now, granted...Canelo has MUCH more say and pull and economic muscle so everyone gravitates towards him and is willing to fight each other for a shot at him...and he’s also willling. We’re lucky in that sense and it’s unfair to compare...
Thurman is flat out unwilling but he’s put in work, Danny is in desperate need of wins, and Porter is hanging on by a thread at the top level. Another loss for Danny is probably enough to put him at the upper gatekeeper level and Porter is borderline. It’s complicated at WW lol.
Clock is ticking for Jermall Charlo. Sooner of later they have to come up with something with substance for his next fight.
Hell will break loose if he fights another meaningless fight. Question is who is that fighter that has meaning?
Haymon controls these Charlo brothers' lives.
Must be frustrating for his managers and trainers getting paid paltry sums for their services.
Not to mention the long periods of inactivity,
"When are these clowns going to grow up and take control of their careers?"
Charlo isn't going nowhere. He isn't going to DAZN unless Al Haymon joins him. Now if Al Haymon moves a substantial amount of fighters from his stable over to DAZN, while joining them in the process; Then he will go. Other than that, both Jermall Charlo and Gervonta Davis will stay put on Fox and Showtime.
The problem is Charlo isn’t going to fight Canelo anytime soon and only a fool would risks cash cow in a one off fight. Sure, it almost doesnt even seem probable Charlo beats Canelo, but anything can happen.
Canelo could lose this jacobs fight and there goes the rest of the year and potentially year and a half if they were to somolit and have a trilogy. Canelo also is pretty obviously going to fight GGG if he beats Jacobs so either way, Charlo needs oponents to fight until Canelo wins and I’m not sure he’s going to beat any of them. Andrade’s chin is questionable but his skills are not. BJS is tough, likely not winnable either... That’s not even counting the big 3 right now.
Charlo either needs to keep can crushing and hope people buy the ducking claims a year or two from now (despite the good fighters fighting each other) or needs to get into the DAZN gauntlet and hope he wins more than he loses. I’d rather Charlo go 1-1 in two big fights and itd be better for his career than going 4-0 against no hopers.

👀 Eddie Hearn revealed to media that he's had a new conversation with Jermall Charlo and told him: "We've got GGG, Canelo, Andrade and Jacobs. You'll be paid three times as much money as you're making at the moment and fight all those guys. What the f*** are you waiting for?"— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn) March 10, 2019

this a legit interview from Hearn? or paraphrasing?
because maybe people would be more apt to sign with Hearn if he wasn't so unlikable. No wonder people are meeting with Oscar and Skipper.
Again, GBP made Wilder and the Charlos. It is destiny that the Charlos return to GBP or go solo with Lions Only for their own contracts like GGG.
Charlos will get exposure on DAZN
Jacobs and Andrade waiting. Munguia vs Jermell.
Both Wilder and Charlo have had better fights since leaving GBP.
Only a matter of time. Problem is DAZN will put you in some tough fights as they promise to. Some fighters want that, some dont. Some are not quite as self assured as they make themselves out to be. Some Boxers are better suited to the house of Haymon.
Where are all these tough fights? Farmer and Andrade haven fought anyone
