Do people buy the AJ-Miller “beef”?

The problem is who IS a deserving contender that hasn’t already been beat? It goes from Aj, Fury, Wilder to basically dudes AJ has already beat or Ortiz who already got his shot at number 3 in the division. Not interested in whyte at all for example. We’ve seen it and it was a stoppage win. All that’s left is people who are undeserving. I for one am fine with Miller getting his shot. It’s gotta happen at some point and it’s possible Miller’s stock is never going to he higher in the current landscape as an undefeated fighter. No matter who he beats outside of Aj-Wilder-Fury it’s going to seem undeserving of a title shot. Aj wants to try his hand in America..what better than one of the “hotter” undefeated American fighters to test the waters against? Miller is a good fight for what it is imo I get what you’re saying, as the division is agreeably woeful atm but there were far better options. The obvious one is Whyte, I know they’ve already fought both have improved dramatically since the first fight and Whyte has clearly earned a title shot with two impressive wins (Parker, Chisora) in 2018. Ortiz is also a better option, if AJ was to go out there and destroy Ortiz, that’s a real statement, considering the difficulty Wilder had against Ortiz. Even a guy like Pulev is a more credible opponent than Miller. I get they now need a US opponent who can sell but the original plan was clearly not to go to America either, they’ve done this as a last resort due to their failure in negotiations with Whyte. This Miller matchup doesn’t interest me in the slightest, it’s a mismatch, and the US debut excuse is just a cop-out.

There’s definitely beef (probably manufactured) on AJ’s side, he’s usually very respectful and tries to build his opponent up but he’s actively insulting Miller calling him a “little b*tch” and making juvenile mum jokes. I think AJ has been advised this is how he should sell a fight in the US but it just looks so unnatural and corny. Miller is not deserving of a shot whatsoever, beating a 41 yr old former Light Heavyweight and Bogdan Dinu doesn’t make you a legitimate contender. I don't think it was staged. Miller is just being BigBaby. It's what is expected of him and I don't think AJ would run of a storyline given to him.

It's forced, but not fake. Miller has upset AJ and AJ has upset Miller. No man likes hearing another man talk about his mother, so they will settle it in the ring. The emotions are real, even if the initial trash talk is forced. What's said is said, and now one of them has to pay the price for their words

It probably Is staged . But you can tell AJ Doesn't like Miller . Hearing the rumor that Fury dropped Miller Seven times in Sparring made this fight a little less appealing to me . Seven times with head gear and Big gloves = No Bueno .

I think they both legitimately don't like each other at all. Miller is just being who he is imoand Joshua is fed up with Miller's ****. Think Miller is trying and successfully getting into AJ's head, we'll see if that works for him though, think it could lead to a firefight

I am not sure. It's probably staged but Miller seems like a rude bully so maybe he is trying to intimidate AJ which will never work of course.

nah it wasn't staged, however Miller is playing it up to get some attention from the media. If it's his chance to make money so be it.

Welcome to modern HW boxing. Nice of you to join us. There doesn’t seem to be a beef at all..as far as AJ is concerned. I’m glad Miller has the awareness to try and make a push for himself though. It’s an interesting matchup if only because it gets the division moving at least for Miller and at least creates further separation. Aj is doing the right thing and fighting someone new who’s seen as a potential contender/someone who’s been calling for their shot a while. Everyone at the upper level has to get their shot at some point...not the fight we wanted but it’s a fight that matter for the division. It is not staged, if it was? Anthony Joshua could just employ some script writers to improve his banter. It is not staged, and it is not even that intense. American's fighters these days just seem like stand up comedians when? they try and put the scares up their opponents. 'When Mike Tyson came to the UK, people where prettified, protest where happening outside of parliment' Miller is just being himself, but Anthony Joshua is not afraid of him, respects the challange but not afraid.
