He was way past it by the time of Chavez. Camacho was a hell of a talent but there was something mental he lacked and his lifestyle halted his prime. Watch him pre Rosario and post Rosario. It’s astonishing. He got cracked twice badly in that fight and barely got a decision. He damn sure didn’t wanna go near Chapo again.
He was a shell by the time he fought Chavez.
This, camacho was a Hell of a talent........
Before or after the Greg Haugen bout. The early Macho would have some troubles with The constant pressure. That would’ve been a hell of a fight though!!!
You are probably correct. Let's see what Spence does to him next month. I'm going to the fight, but I don't think it will last long. I won't get going to take a piss in the first round that's for sure...I may miss a quick KO.
Enjoy! I went to a fight in Texas once. Marquez-Diaz I in Houston, February 2009. Great time. I've wanted to see a good fight in Dallas but the right one hasn't arrived for me to make that trip yet.
I think Spence-Garcia will be fairly competitive for abou 4 rounds then Spence will just be taking over. Too strong, hits too hard and Mikey doesn't have the feet or the head movement to do much once Spence has imposed himself. I think Mikey will retire on his stool sometime around 8/9 rounds.
The Pre-Rosario Macho Man would be competitive with anyone in the 126-135 range.
BUT...he went to pieces after he got rocked by Rosario, so I suspect a puncher would have a better chance than a boxer against him. Who is the best puncher in that range? Garcia? Lomo? Maybe. But he beats everyone else.
Camacho-Garcia would look like Camacho-Ramirez in terms of competition. Mikey is too slow and predictable for him and doesn’t move his head enough. I see almost a 12-0.
Overrated. Prime comacho got destroyed by chavez sr. He has lots of holes. Lol at him beating lomachenko.

He would get past lomachenko, linares, etc etc but will get beat up and lose vs Mikey.Yes, of course he beats every other lightweight fighting today except Mikey. What a surprise you would say that. Anybody Mikey can beat Loma can beat. Mikey vs Loma is an even fight. I look forward to the Spence vs Mikey fight. MIKEY DOWN!
I'd say he does great until someone rattles him like Rosario did. Let's not forget him freezing up when he got that first taste of being hurt. However, I don't guess there are any Rosarios out there now. So I'd give him a great shot although I pick Loma over him in a good fight.I remember that. I would pick Loma and Mikey to beat him at 135.
He lost to Haugan, and Mancini and Paz went the distance. Pretty sure Loma’s speed and angles gives him fits and Camacho’s handspeed tskes Loma into deep waters, 50/50 on that one. He beats everyone else to include Tank, Rigo, Leo, and Mikey.
He beat GRJ, Walters, Rigo and Linares, all of whom I could see giving Hector lots of problems. I like the Macho Man but let's not make out like he was invincible. He wasn't. Would have liked to see him against Prince Naseem though. That would have been fun.
Only rigo would, and i think he might of been to small for macho....could go the same way as the rigo loma fight

LOL the prefight hype and ring walks would of been the stuff of legends............and not to much mention the fight it'self

what has loma done to prove he can take a prime hector down????
Prime Camacho? Hell yeah, he whoops everyone from this era.
None of the fighters from 126-135 would be ready for Macho Time.
I still need to see more of Loma at 135, for now I'd Camacho to beat him in a close UD.
Prime camacho was a bad boy.......
