and its warranted after they horribly robbed him on showtime. he already beat wilder easily and the fight itself was a stinker. rematch would have played out the same. now we can get joshua vs fury.
Majority of fans? Maybe. Majority of ringside experts? No.
AP, ESPN, Yahoo, LA Times, Sporting News, Washington Post, etc all had a draw or Wilder winning.
whatever floats your illusion.
uh huh. Majority thought Fury won.

Never seen so many people happy that one of the biggest fights might not happen because of negotiations.
Instead of wanting to see good fights some here are happy with the politics.
Second Fury didn't beat him easily. I remember getting off the floor twice and the second time he almost got put into a coma
Thank you for your opinion. Many experts did believe Fury won easy, but the majority disagreed. Therefore, crying robbery is illogical.

i think arum is really hoping he can force haymon to bring wilder to espn for the fury fight...thus pissing espinoza off and straining their relationship....we know arum hates haymon with a passion....he would do whatever he could if he thought he could strain haymon and espinoza....but if thats indeed his plan it could backfire huge

He neither has the leverage, cards or bargaining chips to do so.
First he is a notorious doper, juicer and drug cheat. Secondly, he has no title, doesn't pack enough meat in the seats and lastly he is neither a huge box office draw or has the fan base of an Anthony Joshua.
AJ will offer him a deal much significantly less than he would Deontay Wilder because the "Bronze Bomber" has more leverage than Fury and that's a fact.
you are always on the wrong side of the road. Fury won that easy.

40% of ringside experts had the fight a draw. 20% had Wilder winning. Meaning only 40% had Fury winning. Doesn't make sense to then claim the draw was a "horrible robbery." You're being pedantic.

wilder can still fight on espn. he's a free agent he said so himself. the fight can happen if wilder is really serious about it.
Why would Wilder go to ESPN and let Arum control the event, when he's already got FOX and Showtime/CBS backing, while also being the WBC champion?
ESPN doesn't have the reach of FOX, and ESPN doesn't do PPV better than Showtime/CBS, lol.

How, lol? Fury and Joshua are now on rival broadcasters in their two biggest markets wherever the fight takes place.
You add Fury's rumored 5-fight, $100m deal, and he's got even less reason now to bend the knee to the guy holding the belts he already won.
Hopefully the rematch gets over the finish line here, but if it doesn't, we likely see Breazeale-Whyte in March/April (or move right to Wilder-Breazeale for the May date), Wilder tries to talk with Hearn again, and if their still bull****ting, we likely see the Ortiz rematch to close out the year.
Wilder fight falls through, and I've got no idea what Top Rank could put in front of Fury to not lose their ass on that nut, lol
Network Issues with that fight too. DAZN or Showtime PPV ?
A fair compromise would be a two fight deal with the first fight on PPV and the second fight on DAZN. Selling the first fight for $9.99 would make it impossible to sell the second fight for $74.99, but you can do the first fight on PPV, make a ton of money, then make DAZN happy that they get the rematch, which would probably be the bigger fight anyway.
Yes, Wilder vs. Fury II is what I wanted to see first, but if that can't happen, I'd love to see Joshua vs. Wilder.
I don't think it's necessarily about holding A-side over Fury. It's that Wilder no longer has a non-AJ option that still allows him to make over 10 million.
nah i agree...just saying that its mutually beneficial for aj and wilder to get together....whomever wins gets a-side over the 3rd party which is fury.......basically whichever two sides get together first will have a shot at holding that distinction over the party that is left out...kind of like an added bonus/incentive
id be happy with either fight...obviously fury/wilder 2 is the one i wanted first or most....just seemed like it would be an easy deal.......huge monkeywrench now obviously

it just makes sense that hearn and wilders people would get in bed together now....the winner holds a-side over fury

I dont care what network it is on, lets just hope it happens so the division can move on and grow
who were these experts and are they affiliated with pbc?
AP, ESPN, Yahoo, LA Times, Sporting News, Washington Post, etc all had a draw or Wilder winning. When that many top level publications don't have Fury winning, you can't cry robbery when the official decision is a draw.
For those that want to see Joshua vs. Wilder, Arum landing Fury is probably the best thing that could have happened. Me personally, Wilder vs. Fury II was the fight I wanted to see the most, but that seems out the window now. ESPN may have just pushed Joshua and Wilder into each other's arms. Had Wilder vs. Fury II happened in May, the chances of Joshua vs. Wilder happening this year were about 5% IMO. Now I'd say there's about a 30% chance Joshua vs. Wilder happens this year.

it just makes sense that hearn and wilders people would get in bed together now....the winner holds a-side over fury....and if they somehow made 2-3 fights it freezes fury out for a long time and forces espn and top rank to pay fury bloated purses for crap fights....we all know theres no 80 million without the promise of a fight with wilder or aj down the line....if they froze fury out for two years it could make the deal for espn and tr a bad one.....
gotta ask ya...because you are one of the few people here whos opinion i respect
what do you think of the possibility that hearn and wilders people get together and make a deal if indeed fury is using this to push a wilder rematch aside?

So who do you want to see him fight?? seems like its the fans getting screwed over... Fury, Wilder and Joshua are all multi millionaires and getting richer while we sit back and argue over them and go to our none millionaire jobs..so who are they really saying F you to??wilder can still fight on espn. he's a free agent he said so himself. the fight can happen if wilder is really serious about it.
