Gervonta Davis retained his World Boxing Association super featherweight world title with a vicious first-round knockout of former world champion Hugo Ruiz on Saturday. Unbeaten Davis lived up to his knockout-artist reputation with his 20th win inside the distance out of his 21 victories. Click Here To Read More]
Let's see here.... let's review some of my most recent predictions.
-Tyson Fury is a shell of himself. Wilder will blow him out.
-Of course Joshua is fighting Whyte next. All he is doing is using the undeserving Miller to drive negotiations. Whyte has earned this shot and there is zero chance he is walking away from a career payday and a opportunity for 3 titles.
-Amir khan is going to take the payday against Brook. I am sure he is tempted by the Crawford fight, but there is no chance he is passing on the last great cash grab of his career for an outside chance for a title against a peaking Crawford. Khan knows this is his swan song, and he will take the money.
-Ruiz against Davis is a sneaky good fight. An inactive Davis will be tested by a Ruiz with zero to lose and everything to gain. Davis should win, but this will be a fun bout.
If nothing else, you have to admire my consistency lately in really turd predictions. Ruiz was overmatched and could have had his corner toss the towel after Davis' first jab connected. Basically to mix my sports metaphors this was over at the coin flip. Very good job by Davis to do what you are supposed to do in this situation. He won quick, looked great, and is ready for a fight next freaking month after this glorified sparring session.
Dude, you're probably not that much worst than anyone else, but you're just honest enough to admit it.

You already described him as "disloyal." Imagine if he did that! Do you understand the connection to Tank and the show "The Wire?" Salute to Idris Elba! Anyway, Tank is trying to mature, and hopefully Floyd does the right thing! As for Farmer:
January 10, 2019:
DiBella: Davis-Farmer 'Meaningful Possibility' For Late 2019
“You could probably see a Gervonta Davis fight I think it’s probably inevitable,” said DiBella. “If it happens in 2019 it will be late in the year. It won’t be early because of Tevin’s contract with DAZN. But late in the year, it’s certainly a meaningful possibility.”

Fair enough
Based on what I've seen from Davis (except for one out of shape fight) he will do well with any of the 130 pounders and probably the 135 pounders as well. This includes Lomachenko. Still, he has to fight these guys and while I feel he is the real deal, he might just get exposed. I want to find out for sure how good he really is.
He seems happy wth Hearn, money wise that is. If Showtime were paying big bucks Hearn will allow him to fight Tank on showtime . Remember Lou d is connected with Farmer and didn’t want to deny him an opportunity of making good money. Off course if the money was with Showtime Farmer would be there. I feel Tank would fight Farmer on Dazn he is about that paper but Mayweather promotions are not having it. However, unfortunately he is the fighter so the onus is on him to at least be vocal and explain why you are not in the fights your fans expect you to be inYou already described him as "disloyal." He is not unwilling to test himself! That's why he's been disrespectful of Mayweather! He wants more, but him and Floyd have a rocky relationship! He doesn't have the power in that relationship like Joshua has with Hearn! He can only move when Floyd says so! Hopefully Tevin Farmer gets away from Hearn/DAZN later this year (as he has hinted), so we can get this Philly vs. B-More Classic!

Tank can't feed off 126ers his whole career. He's already a 135er fighting at 130lbs
No, but if he can get fights with Gary Russell and Leo Santa Cruz soon then there is some good money to be made there at 130 still.
PBC has some heavy hitters at 126 lb that might move up.
But yes, the network and promoter boundaries should be crossed otherwise they are ruining the sport.

It looked like a PBC format (Not knocking it) but it’s a bit disappointing. Avoid your biggest rival, then criticise them or make fun of them on social media. If they have a bigger name than yours then use it to propel your name.
In Tank’s case it is very very disappointing, the same with Errol spence, destroys Brook and then no meaningful fights, not active enough. Didn’t build up on it.
If Tank isn’t ready for Loma then fine, if he isn’t ready for Farmer then fine, but what’s with the “He would beat them” comments that we then read from people?
I mean I rate Tank highly but the fact that they haven’t kept him active and haven’t look to push him is just plain stupid.
I think the difference with Spence is that he wants the big fights. He wants to fight the toughest competition and calls them out by name, but there is nothing he can do if they won't get in the ring with him. The only one he kinda skirted around trying to fight was Crawford. He still should take more fights to stay active though, even if the competition isn't spectacular.
have you seen PBC's roster at 130? Tank either moves up, or fights someone from another stable.

Farmer is with DAZN. That's one reason.
In any case I hope Davis stays active this year and gets some meaningful opponents. He looks special, his skills and athletic gifts have P4P potential.

There is no reason for him to not fight Farmer.

I think he is the goods but his unwillingness to test himself and happy to sit on the shelf annoys me. Plus the effort he puts into subliminaly discrediting Mayweather on social media is disloyal. Not to mention his silence on Lomachenko and his constant missing weight. The fat lesbian should move upHe is not unwilling to test himself! That's why he's been disrespectful of Mayweather! Davis is good but why did Ruiz quit? It was obvious he wanted the ref to stop the fight. It's probably because he was the natural smaller guy moving up and had realized he was overmatched from the start, then he had a short preparation and also, he took the fight on short notice.

“When I touched the jab I saw his arm was in front of his face so if I threw a hook or uppercut it was right in line.”
This guy might not be media trained but he speaks boxing, when he is in the ring he sees everything because he has a good ring IQ, you don’t just get that overnight. He has been boxing since he was a little kid, I just hope his talent isn’t wasted away with him not being active or him not being pushed into bigger and better fights.
