His promoter Eddie Hearn says a deal to fight New York native Miller is now close to completion and their Madison Square Garden showdown could be rubber-stamped before the end of the week.
And it is understood that Joshua will earn around £25m for his part in the Big Apple clash – which would eclipse the £20m he banked for beating Alexander Povetkin in September.
Most of the money will be stumped up by Hearn’s US broadcast partner DAZN, while Joshua will also earn via UK pay-per-view sales on Sky Sports Box Office.
Hearn said: “I would say it is 80 per cent likely that Joshua will fight Miller next.
“The money is not just coming from DAZN, it’s Sky Sports Box Office, it’s Madison Square Garden, it’s international TV.
“Every marketing executive and PR specialist have always said, ‘You have to fight in America’ and the timing just appears to be right.”
Why is it when Wilder fights, all his fanboys say he is getting way more than what is being reported, but when AJ fights, they all say he's getting way less than what is being reported?
that WBC IBF WBA guy is guilty as charged.
He seems to be the only one that knows how finkel and AL haymon help wilder invade tax and earn more than the filled purse.
DAZN is in Austria, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, United States, Spain, and Brazil. It's not all about the US.
Thanks for sheding more light to this.
Many of this Wilderites dont know this.
They think it's about the US alone.
You mean like Wilder 4 mil and Fury 3 mil?
How come everything you say on here is a smart a55 comment? Is that really all you do? You must be a treat to live with.
Let's see the New York athletic commission reported purse something tells me it won't say anything close to that number
You can go to the commission yourself to get the purse.
Maybe they will report AJ earned $2mil to keep you happy so you don't commit suicide.

That's big money......but will DAZN make money after paying him and Miller? I don't think it will be possible unless I'm really underestimating the DAZN subs.
It seems to me that AJ is steadily moving. Winner oh Joshua-Miller versus WINNER of Tyson Fury/Deontay Wildher will be a phenomenal blockbuster towards the end of this year at the MSG BUT I CAN SEE IT HAPPENING IN VEGAS

AJ purse never been reported it will be this time by NYSAC let's see if it says anything close to the money Hearn is talking about
God these threads never fail to deliver. Please, continue kicking each other in the dicks over two mediocre heavyweights and fangirl over who is more of a millionaire than the other. :fing02:

The independent is reporting £25m is minimum.. they expect it could be upwards of £30m which is $39 million. Crazy money for Miller. Also states Whyte rejected close to $8million.
So: AJ is expected to make at least $58 million from two fights (Povetkin and Miller), right?... Well, nothing much to ad here...
No phucking way. The days of people staying up late at 4am is over. Diehard fans like himself can try and do it but not casuals.
Sounds good and dandy but I bet thst is exactly what Joshua does on PPV this fight.
When Hatton pulled in those numbers he was at the height of his career, AJ hasn't even reach that point yet. People forget that Joshua has only had 22 fights and has only been fighting 5/6 years as a pro.
I can see your point here but I think its a different ball game now. Joshua sells out stadiums (in the UK) wherever he boxes and his name is well known to the general public; while Hatton's name was certainly big, I don't remember it being on quite the same level as Joshua's, to non boxing fans that is.
If Wilder and Fury took the other half of the pot of 23mil PPV sales, what do you THINK their splits were added to their guarantees.
The Matchroom budget allocation from DAZN is not the same as Canelo's deal. DAZN by fair market share and Skipper's experience value Canelo's historical PPV value, non PPV ratings, and sales gates. So Canelo's per fight basis deals would in theory be significantly bigger than AJ's, not the whole Matchroom deal with DAZN.
What do you think AJ's earning for Miller? DAZN isn't worried about the live rating, they get to own the rights for their catalog for replay. So how much do you think DAZN thinks this fight is worth?
I don't think you really understand how numbers work but it seems the other poster has corrected you already. You should do your homework before debating on something like this.
Guarantees only serve the purpose of protecting the bottom line of the fighter, that figure may or may not be close to the projected numbers, (but in theory should be if the promoter does his job well) revenue of the event. The actuals don't get added on to the guarantee.
The network/broadcaster take around 50% of the ppv revenue. I think once everything was accounted for they prob had about $20-22 million (ppv, gate, etc. - cost) in the pot minus the undercard...so yeah a good educated guess is around $10 million Wilder $8 million Fury...not bad...in fact very good...but not near what you're saying
