who will pick the judges for the third fight? will it be ggg like the second fight? or canelo this time?
A list of judges, pre-approved by the lead promoter, is taken by the sanctioning body to the commission (which is also often filled with buddies and old cronies of the promoter) and, from that list, three judges are appointed for the bout. The promoter is then responsible for not only providing payment to the judges, but in some states, required to provide for food, accommodations, and a small per diem to cover the judges’ expenses. In other words, the current system is one where the promoter is in control of virtually every aspect when it comes to selection and compensation of the officials.
hmm I don't knowwwwww looks like it will be golden boy this time. why did ggg get to choose the judges for the second fight? how did he get around this rigged system?
Golovkin clearly beat Canelo 8-4 in the first fight and edged him in the second. The longer the fight is delayed the worse his chances are of beating Canelo because his reflexes are slowing. . Factor in the A side bias build into the judge selection that is being discussed on several threads and the huge contract Canelo has with DAZN. Golovkin won't win the next fight. The contract is 365 million dollars. No way they are going to let their investment fail.
i wonder why he's built like that?
Clenbuterol wouldn't have that effect.
Especially not in the small amounts consistent with eating tainted meat.
Go lock-in isn’t too old and canelo doesn’t respect him.
Golovkin only chance was in the first fight and it was clear he couldn’t stop canelo.
Canelo easily outpointed him in rematch, and a third fight would be even more lopsided
I got Canelo by UD. Golovkin isn't getting younger either, but would be interesting to see if he finally tries some more body shots in there. I thought Golovkin won the first and Canelo the second so I do want to see this fight but would rather see it as soon as possible. I just dont see knockout happening in the third either and I dont know why quite many people expected stoppage to the matches, I just couldn't see it myself, even though I know that they are both good finishers and great punchers
the article says who picks them. its clear. this is why i laugh at anyone who says official decisions are the most important thing. they are literally the most biased decisions. its all setup for a-sides to win which is why guys like ward refused to fight unless they were the a-side. they wanted that control. thats why i laugh when people say canelo takes risks. really? he knows he's going to win. ggg gave up that control, took a risk and look what happened. kovalev gave up that control, took a risk and look what happened. fury vs wilder etc...any fighter who puts himself in there as the b-side is taking a risk.
Yeah I read that article in fact I posted it several days ago in another thread.
Who knows, but as stated in the article the lead promoter supplies a list. Who is going to be the lead promoter for the fight. Oscar for sure. It's not clear but I believe the commission is not obligated to pick judges from that list. On the other hand I'd be surprised if they don't. The system favors the lead promoter heavily no doubt.

yes but who will pick the judges for the third fight? thats the most important part of the fight since it will certainly go to decision. will it be canelo, ggg, or just random selection?

He just seems to be thick boned...(no **** jokes please) Look at his neck. I don't have any favorite boxers these days, not sure if he peds, i just think he always looked like that, since i 1st saw him on the scene.
Canello, He's young, his experience has progressed a lot, built like a tree trunk. Likes the spotlight now, instead of being intimidated by it.

Lmao daggum is still in denial about canelo beating his ass
Wanted pacquiao to beat floyd- Floyd won
Wanted kovalev to beat ward- ward won twice
Wanted ggg to beat Canelo- Canelo won
Always on the wrong side of history
did you not read the post? a-sides pick the judges so why would i be surprised when every a-side got the decision? you are in denial if you think official decisions are not being influenced by the lead promoter in some way. oh well keep on being a tribalist.
good question, not sure who will pick them
didn't even know ggg picked them for the 2nd fight, he must've felt dumb lol
read the original post. he didn't pick them yet people on here keep saying that.

yes but more importantly who will pick the judges since it always goes to decision. will it be golden boy or ggg? who picked them in the first fight? the second?
