He’s not getting Joshua anytime soon either. But he can fight an Ortiz or Breazeale which is better/more intriguing than other names under Matchroom.
I think he’s fine whether he goes or stays Based on his interview, it seems he’ll do what’s best for him financially.
Didn't he just get offered the fight and received an improve offer?
Also, lets be fair. He just made millions and millions fighting Chisora and Parker back to back in PPV events. He isn't going to be earning that money fighting Breazeale and Ortiz.
Anyway, maybe he would have good reasons for moving if he does. But i'd say he's much closer to a title shot with Matchroom and probably earned more than he could have elsewhere thus far, due to him having PPV fights.
A lot of Matchroom fighters have technically been free agents in the sense they had nothing in writing.
I know Bellew never had a fixed deal with them, just a gentleman's agreement with Hearn. I think Brook is the same too and other fighters.
Seems like Whyte has been unhappy with Hearn's offer for the AJ fight. Maybe he's just there to try and force a better offer from Hearn.
It makes little sense in a way though. If he's unhappy with Hearn's offer, or Hearn prioritises other fights for AJ instead of delivering a title shot for Whyte as his priority, then why would Whyte move away from the place that has the most titles available and the easier fight to make? - It's not like he's just going to walk into a world title fight with Wilder.

This is the last thing UK boxing or any boxing needs splitting stables so that the boxers can use the "other side of the street excuse" they all already have enough excuses. I'd hoped that they'd just focus on scooping loose fighters and prospects up and putting on good cards so that Hearn and Warren had to put on equally decent cards.
i think theyd make whyte and ortiz fight each other to see who would get a crack at wilder
Would be a great fight, get Dillian some exposure in the US.
Sure, but are you saying Whyte will be PBC's #1 at HW? No, that will still be Wilder. That was the point. Playing second fiddle to arguably the biggest star in boxing is not something to take personal.
I just can't see him turning down the Joshua payday to be honest. I mean unless we get Joshua/Fury, then Whyte really has no reason to leave SKY/Hearn.
Well if Haymon is serious about breaking into the UK market, could see Dillian becoming his marquee fighter at Heavyweight on this side of the pond. Make no mistake, in a landscape where AJ isn't calling the shots, Dillian is a big name in his own right and has gained a lot of momentum in recent fights.

Because although he isn’t now, he will be WBO mandatory when it’s their turn to call it.
So it doesn’t really matter.
I'm not sure what Whyte's matchroom contract is like at present, but I imagine he's just testing the waters. He'd be naive not too.
That said, I don't think he's turning his back on a Joshua fight. Hearn, Whyte and Joshua have built it up well.
Joshua was flexing his muscles a little last week showing Whyte who runs the show. Whyte could well be now showing Jooshua that he will have his say too.
Joshua is by far Whyte's biggest payday and they're in a good position to make the fight. I can't see Whyte walking away from that at this stage.
Yeah he's going no where, even if they give him a deal at PBC am sure Matchroom would then match it. Its a win win for him.
Whyte is a free agent, Hearn mention this last week. He is free to explore his options. But i doubt anyone would pay him what he made over the last two fights anywhere else. Its just Whyte way of getting a better deal from Matchroom, I mean they have done a great job for him, he was a kickboxer and now he is making £5m per fight.

Whyte is just calling his bluff and well he should
Every sport fan has Sky Sports.
You are not in touch with reality not anymore why you gonna get sky sports when you can watch online
ITV Boxing are doing it the right way you pay for the fight just because it is Eubank vs DeGeale, nothing else a grudge set from years ago despite both been exposed the public knows both of them england they are not trying to sell the fight to the US, but the english public what with a solid undercard looks a sure thing.
Remember this if it was so bad they would not have got involved

Be grateful because of him we can Broner vs Pacman otherwise be on sky sports and nobody will see it
I'm pleased to see fights from the states of this calibre or name value at 4am for free on ITV as is the plan on this occasion.
I'm not happy that the UK division of PBC fighters of the calibre of degale Vs eubank is to be shown on PPV because its UK prime time.
If they follow that flow, it won't matter what big names they put on for free ( and it won't stay like that, sooner or later their larger US fights will also go on ITVbox office. ) from the states, the casual UK fan won't tune in at 4am to see a charlo or a garcia, and they won't be paying ppv to itv box office to see a eubank or a degale or a Joyce.
It's exactly the same as why US fans won't watch a Callum Smith or a Charlie Edwards or a Josh Warrington etc etc in the afternoon.
ITV PPV i forgot that existed, because it's been a complete flop. Keep dreaming that Haymon can compete in the UK.

Think Whyte - Wilder becomes a real possibility, with a fair split, if Dillian went with Haymon.

I mean Hearn has done great for Whyte. Made him into a legitimate PPV fighter. Whyte really isn't that caliber of fighter yet here we are. Where won't Whyte play second fiddle at? ESPN? That's it. He's playing second fiddle at PBC and with Warren.

The fact is, Dillian Whyte is a PPV fighter and a star attraction in his own right. He isn't happy sitting back and playing second fiddle to Anthony Joshua, and rightly so. Hearn is obviously focused on his cashcow AJ, even to the detriment of Dillian's best interests. It shouldn't be a question of whether Dillian deserves the AJ fight, and according to AJ and Hearn he should just take whatever he is offered... there's a serious conflict of interests and it looks like Hearn isn't looking out for Dillian in this instance. Whyte could possibly have it better with a rival promoter, being the marquee Heavy weight.

Aren't PBC shows gonna be on ITV and ITV PPV in the UK? I've been out the loop for a while and that was what I last heard.
nah man..dont believe nothin...al haymon cant do squat in the UK...cant get uk fighters...cant even do squat in the US...i mean look at him? hes got nobody...hes about to go bankrupt and got no tv deals.....heck even the guys he has never fight each other.....
just ask these uk fockbois...theyll tell ya
