FS1 Card: Uzcategui vs Plant Averages 761k viewers, Peaks at 986k

Happy to see people responded and ended up tuning in. It was a legit matchup and FOX/PBC gave it proper attention and build up.

Will there be more sunday fights coming up or was this a one-off? There probably will be, but this card was due to the playoff games on Saturday. But PBC has done some Sunday cards in the past. I don't see why there shouldn't be more of them, especially in the summer time where there is basically no other sport but baseball on? Why not?

Seems like really good #s for FS1 And with the exception of Crawford / Loma this easily beats most of the cards on ESpn the past year as far as viewership

Those are GREAT NUMBERS! NOBODY watches FS1 so to be able to score those type of ratings on a network people typically don't even turn to is huge for boxing. As long as FOX is happy that is all that matters, after all it is their money that they're investing into this thing! The only thing I watch on FS1 is champions league it's really big numbers for the network and they're finally starting to get some contents

That sh-t just sounds shifty as f-ck. They had those numbers but they aren't what they think they are. The reality is boxing audience is comprised mostly of older, less affluent people that like to either watch in their living room or go to the local bar places that don't likely have streaming services. Interesting enough the Charlo card did really solid ratings from 18-49 demo, while getting killed in the 50+ crowd compared to its competition. But to your point, no doubt streaming is still difficult for a lot of people. This is why I don't buy linear television is gone anytime soon. We are still way away from that. Not happening within 10 years, that's for sure.

Bomac said when he was negotiating Crawford new contract he was asking for the ESPN plus numbers from the Crawford-Horn fight and no one had them. Yes they do but they aren't dependent on it as much as ESPN+ and DAZN are. There's a reason why ESPN+ and DAZN have yet to disclose streaming views. They are all in on streaming and would look bad to show the public the views they have been getting. Again when did I ever say they were as dependent on streaming as DAZN? That still doesn't mean it won't be a big part of the future....Because it will.

Why would Fox want to make it part of their future? You can access FOX streaming through your cable provider. They aren't like DAZN or ESPN+ that force you to pay to watch their content. They are the ones who need to have good numbers. Whatever streaming ratings broadcast channels like CBS,NBC, ABC and FOX get on top of regular ratings is a plus. I wouldn't say no one watches FS1. UFC still had cards that did REALLY good numbers. They just had one card on FS1 do 1.2 million I believe. But obviously compared to other networks it does less numbers. NOBODY watching FS1 I'm talking about their daily original programmings like Undisputed and all those other shows... Undisputed (FS1, 9:30 AM, 150 min.) • 0.237 million viewers • 0.12 A18-49 The Herd (FS1, 12:00 PM, 180 min.) • 0.197 million viewers • 0.09 A18-49 Speak For Yourself (FS1, 3:00 PM, 90 min.) • 0.140 million viewers • 0.06 A18-49 They're barely cracking 200K in viewers consistently. Yeah UFC Prelims did very well on FS1 but UFC is now with ESPN :dunno:

Good. We need more fights on Sundays at reasonable hours.

But obviously compared to other networks it does less numbers. I think that was a Sat card though. A Sunday night boxing card doing those numbers is pretty impressive.

Good start for the FS1 cards. Lead in off of big FOX with the NFL definitely helped (also with a college game right after which is why the post fight was cut short). Lets see if they can keep this up. Great job with all the shoulder programming so far
