yeah cept when canelo fought khan he was a "poosy thats avoiding lil g" right?!?!?! right!!!!
Hey I finally found something we both agree on. Canelo is poosy . Awesome..
It says nothing. All it says is he fought a fighter who moved up. This has been going on since boxing had weight divisions.

No, ggg's best win was against jacobs. Lomo's best win is probably linares. Even if it is rigo, people like you and half the forum had it a 50/50 fight and had rigo beating lomo. No one is giving mikey a chance here.
Learn to read kind sir. Ggg's 2nd best win is brook, who is 2 divisions lower.
Loma's best win is Russell imo but his best opponent is rigo. No logical boxing fan had it 50/50, how can it be even when someone is moving up 2 weight classes? Just look at the odds lol
You're such an eastern euro fanboy. You try to critique an American for the very same thing you praise your precious eastern euros for. Truly pathetic.

Brook is one of GGG's top5 wins right??? Rigo is easily Lomas best if not top 3 wins..So why defend those 2 and make a thread like this???
I guess it depends on the context. When you put in perspective and take into account Mikey is an undefeated 4 division champion going for his 5th divisional world title it doesn't look bad at all.
Mikey would be the best opponent for a lot of welterweights.
Linares would beat rigo.
Yeah because he's like 3 times Rigondeaux's size. Even then I think Rigondeaux lands quite a bit on Linares and we know his chin isn't that stable.
Dude last fought WW when he was 19 years old. When Golovkin was 18 he was fighting at am LWW (141lbs with no rehydration).
Swear it's like some of these dudes don't understand that guys get heavier as they mature.
It blows my mind how stupid they are. I used to give them a pass but so many of these guys are straight up borderline retarded.
Oh so now Canelo is considered a WW?

hahahahaha...same crumbs were championing lil g as an ATG and #1 p4p when he was fighting brook...youve got to love it
man if only spence were 6 years older we could hammer him for this!!!
Satiev mr eastern euro lover, isn't loma's best opponent 2 weight divisions lower? Isn't GGG's 2nd best win 2 weight divisions lower?
LMAO

Isn't GGGs best opponents from a lower weight? Could of swore Canelo and Brook we're WWs while GGG has been a career MW.
No. GGG's best win is against jacobs a career mw.
Mikey beat the hell out of Broner who is considered a good welterweight. He also won a world title title at 140 so he is moving up 7 pounds not 12 pounds. Mikey is sure as hell a better opponent than the other 4 welterweight champs are fighting. Pac is fighting Broner who Mikey beat so easily. Porter is fighting Ugas who has lost to nobodies. Thurman is fighting Lopez who is ranked number 35. Crawford is fighting Khan who must be a 10 to 1 underdog. Mikey would be a big favorite to beat any of those four opponents. Spence is fighting by far the best opponent and he already went to England and KOed big welterweight Brook who beat Porter in the USA. MAN DOWN!
Garcia did not beat the hell out of broner. he won in a s hit fight. it was horrible
More context is needed to properly evaluate this statement. There is an inference here that IF your best opponent is not from the same weight class as yourself then it denigrates your resume, and it might.
But perhaps your division is dormant / has no decent boxers in it, and the weight(s) below it are stacked. You could still be an amazing fighter if you cleaned out a weak division and ALSO beat the star of a lower weight. This comes back to the proven maxim that 'you can only beat what's in front of you.'
I didn't take offense to it. Loma knows as much as we do that that win isn't considered his best. I actually don't care if you did criticize Loma or his resume. I just find it funny how posters talked about how a fighter is dragged as if it's somehow against their will, kicking and screaming. Rigo chose to go up 2 classes. Yes, it's a fact (literally nobody has disputed that), but he did it to himself. Same with Brook, possibly Mikey if things go bad and many others. They don't have to make such huge jumps if they don't need to.
This is a reasonable response Rigo and Mikey are doing it willingly. Same can be said for JMM, Brook, Kahn, etc. etc. I get that it does sound like they were being forced when they are not.
I responded that way because it felt to me like your initial response seemed to defend the move even though I didn't criticize Loma. All good.
