Look at the reception Fury got last night at Sports Personality Of The Year. For the non-Brits, it's basically a sporting awards ceremony every december watched by millions and millions, it's a big deal in the UK.
They had him up on stage being interviewed getting standing ovations from the whole arena. All the other sports people paying him respect. It was only a few years ago some of them were saying they will not go if he goes over his comments but he has had a massive upturn in popularity. All is forgiven among the public and now he is the darling of British boxing. The public were crying out for him to win the main award. He's been dominating the sporting headlines recently too.
AJ is old hat now. The novelty has gone. Fury is the boy now. The public are seeing AJ and Hearn has con men, fighting old men and recycling opponents like Whyte
:lol1: Good for Tyson, he deserves it. Should have give him praise when he actually beat Wlad though.Gotta say I'm guilty of that... kinda brushed over it at the time and figured it was because Wlad had just become old and gunshy. I was proved wrong firstly when Wlad showed what he was still capable of against Joshua and then Fury left Wilder looking just as bewildered as Wlad for much of their fight.
Still not much of a fan of Fury the man, but there's no doubt he's an excellent fighter and unusually skilled for a guy his size.
haha if you think so..
false accusations of identity and accusing people of racism just because you can't handle debate.
Perpetuating your fantasies about Fury incessantly isn't debating. That's trolling.
Did you watch Sports Personality of the Year, personally?
Sports personality usually has viewing figures that peak around 11m. that's like 1/6 of the entire country watching it.
It's pretty incredible viewing figures really. So don't downplay it.
That's why they had Fury on stage, representing the sport of Boxing, interviewed to the adoring nation live on national TV.
Oh dear god, you are a troll. Googled British people and that's what i came up with. You have no argument anymore.
Certainly not a troll. Just a man with his finger on the pulse.
AJ was a fad while Fury was out of the game. It's no surprise that AJ's popularity peaked when Fury was out and has since dropped since Fury come back and now Fury is a national hero.
Fury is becoming part of the fabric in British culture alongside icon figures such as The Beatles, Vivienne Westwood and Michael Caine.
WRONG!!!!
BBC Sports Personality of the year is only a big thing to the BBC. Its NOT a big deal at all.
Do you even live in the UK? All I see is Joshua interviews, Joshua's face on product endorsements, People asking, Who is Joshua fighting next? I see Fury NOWHERE. Literally NOWHERE.
Yeah you see AJ everywhere at the moment or did but the tide he shifted. He's being phased out.
Fury is now the nations sweetheart. The darling of UK Sport. The icon, the idol, the legend. He's firmly alongside Claire Balding, Sir Tom Jones, Dame Helen Mirren and Jeremy Paxman as national treasures. AJ is yesterdays man.
Look at the likes of Piers Morgan and Gary Lineker fawning all over him. Morgan has him on his early morning show because the nation want to see Tyson Fury in the morning to uplift and inspire the entire nation at the start of the day.
WRONG!!!!

AJ is a bigger name than Fury. However when AJ eventually finds his balls and faces Fury, he'll get utterly destroyed both in and out of the ring.
Fury will go down in history as the superior boxer to Joshua, no doubt about it.
SPOTY is a big deal btw, at least in the UK.
AJ is hugely popular with the casual audience because he fits a certain type of narrative.
Fury on the other hand is a real loose cannon when it comes to his public persona.
I believe Fury has more charisma and boxing skill in his pinkie finger than Joshua has in his whole body.
Problem is - AJ is the Nigerian street thug who rose from the mean streets of London and left the gangsta life behind to take up boxing and became an Olympic Gold Medalist and World HW Champion - all the time remaining HUMBLE (lives with mummy still) / 'Doing it for his community' etc...
Fury is white, a traveler, gives no ****s whatsoever in what he says, suffers from mental illness and addiction issues etc - He is easy for the SJW / Beta casuals to hate on.
80% of TV viewers usually have whoever that channel's unofficial scorer had. The people at home aren't really keeping score. They just follow what the TV tells them.
Haha, Yeah, what ever you need to brush aside to suit your argument.
You're gold, man. Seriously.
You've failed in your endeavour so I don't know why you still come on here with all this. You're just wasting your time. Unless of course you're just a crazy fan who lies about who you are to look good or something? Either way, it isn't working out for you.
Next.
0% of the population of earth outside of that judge, saw wilder winning by a comfortable landslide.
Good thing we have three judges in boxing. Which got us a draw, a fair result based on the ringside experts who scored the fight. Ridiculous to call it a robbery.
Showtime did a poll and 80% had Fury winning.

I know it's you. Everything makes sense now. It's OK.

You seem very insistent on this bull****. All it is is hope with you. But I've worked you out anyway 1Hourrun. It's just too obvious. You claim to be living in the UK and have an obvious username. You've only been here since November but you've gone straight into the Joshua smear and praising Fury. Yeah, it's too obvious. You hate Euro's so you thought you would stay hidden with that name. It's definitely you.
Come back on your proper account, gob****e.
1hourrun? lol
ask the admins to check my IP or whatever. I'm in the UK
Fury is a national treasure.
He's among British icons such as Helen Mirren, Trevor Macdonald, David Attenborough and Princess Diana.
Get used to it. Fury is the nations sweetheart and will stay there.

What?
Can't handle a bit of back and forth about boxing so you start throwing accusations of racism about without even knowing anything about me or my background. You are weak and pathetic if you can't have a strong debate without bringing racism into it.
It's people like you that drag forums like this down when you start saying ridiculous things like that during a discussion about boxing. It's a sport, my friend, not life or death. A big part of why i enjoy boxing is because it's a worldwide sport where anyone from any race and background can prosper through their abilities.
A lot of my family is mixed race, my deceased child was mixed race and many of my favourite fighters are black.
So don't be coming on here dragging a debate about boxing into that kinda nonsense. Nobody needs that.
Anyway back to boxing. I personally consider Fury no.1. AJ's best win is a Fury leftover, and he should also have a win over another top 3 fighter. That is my OPINION. AJ has never beat the no.1 in the division at any point to become no.1. When AJ beat Wlad, he was coming off a loss to Fury.
I know Fury has been inactive, but he's not now and i rate his best wins above Joshua's. I think it's a very fair assessment. If you don't agree, that's fine, but that's my opinion.
Wlad went back to the number 1 spot after Fury went awol. So Joshua has fought and beaten the number 1 in the division. Unless you had Wlad falling down the rankings after his loss? Who was the number 1 to you then?
And the official decision was a draw, so what's the problem? If 40% have Fury winning, 40% have a draw, and 20% have Wilder winning, the only result you can even come close to crying robbery on is a Wilder win.
But a draw? No, not a robbery.
Showtime did a poll and 80% had Fury winning.
You have no evidence of corruption. When 40% of ringside experts have Fury winning, 40% have a draw, and 20% have Wilder winning, the three way split among the judges isn't a robbery.
0% of the population of earth outside of that judge, saw wilder winning by a comfortable landslide.
Wilder didn't even raise his hands in victory at the end of the fight. Whats the say?
